You're welcome Ingrid.

When I was travelling to Kojonup in the South West Of WA (I live in Australind) the only thing that relieved an otherwise boring journey were the massive fields of canola adding a great splash of colour across the landscape :-)

Merlin

Merlin Report 22 May 2012 13:43

Hmmmm, except you can' tbreathe while you're dancing and you keep having to stop to sneeze, and you can't see where your OH is because your eyes are itching and streaming.

Nice try Merlin, bit of wishful thinking on your part methinks :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-P

Merlin Report 22 May 2012 13:01

Rather than a Yashmak,I,ve heard that 7 Veils do the trick, :-D Apparently whilst dancing with them on and reducing the number (In front of your OH.) you,re so busy and destracted you forget all about Hay Fever. :-D :-D :-D :-D ;-)

Spite Marilyn, nothing else.

Only makes them look bad though, so it's more funny than annoying.

Rub a small amount of Vaseline inside your lower nostrils. This can help prevent pollen from entering your nasal passages.

NHS DIRECT no less lol x

I'm not surprised though, just the sort of thing a certain person does, and has admitted doing. It's because it's us, anyone else could have said exactly the same thing and not had it RR'd.

So to the RR-er, you know who you are, I know who you are, sort yourself out love, you're doing exactly what you have accused us of doing. Stalking and bullying. Time to get a hobby eh?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/physical_health/conditions/in_depth/allergies/allergicconditions_hayfever.shtml

Saline douches or a little Vaseline applied inside the nose will reduce symptoms

......not dangerous advice and Joy didn't mention dosage.

I'm truly gobsmacked. :-S

TeresaW Report 22 May 2012 12:33

Well that just goes to show that some GR staff simply cannot be bothered to read the posts being reported and just delete them willy nilly. Probably with a roll of the eyes and a yawn.

Or maybe they are suffering from hayfever :-D :-D :-D

Muffyxx Report 22 May 2012 12:31

It's been deleted?

I just don't understand this at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TeresaW

TeresaW Report 22 May 2012 12:23

Don't worry muffy, they'll only be in flower a couple more weeks, it's the pollen from the flowers. They're left to go to seed, as that's where the oil comes from, and left to dry out till August. It's a spring flower so it's season is nearly over.

I cannot believe someone RR'd for suggesting vaseline, but I can guess who it is.....someone in whose twisted drug befuddled mind read that as medical advice. It's not you silly Moo!

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 22 May 2012 12:11

OMG Joy has been rr'd for suggesting vaseline up the nose to catch the pollen???????? What on earth is wrong with that????????

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 22 May 2012 10:38

The flowers are still bright yellow so I'm definitely stuck with it for a while yet...I hate the smell and everything....Youngest and OH unaffected by it..but myself and eldest are really suffering.

Thanks for the tips ...I'll give anything a go....maybe not the yashmak though lol x
