Yes, including conan doyle and some other very respectable people. I dont know how, mind, the photos are so obviously, to our eyes, faked. But respect for the girls, they made a good job of it and left a lot of people with egg on their faces! |

The real marvel of the Cottingley fairies is that little girls could compose a photograph that would fool so many for so long. |

Chaotic yes, good one. Its sort of like Pascalls wager. You might as well hedge your bets on the belief thing in case it turns out to be real. |

Oh, done that. It was on amazon but it got RR'd by the british society of real astrologers (membership1) and the council for religious freedom, which wasnt in the slightest bit ironic. The publishers received death threats from the royal unicorn society and the cottingley fairies camping club. |

Well, thats good then. So you're not psychic and you're not an astrologer. I know that you know that I'm only kidding, there, 'cos theres no such things hahahahaha. |

Thank you E for the explanation but I did have a laugh at Dermot's biblical funny the other day and I do remember not expecting the punch line. So still a little confused-.....I remember a rush of endorphins when I drunk my coffee this morning but when I went back to the thread it had been whooshed -jl |

It's called humour. There's different types.....there's the psychic and astrological type, where you know in advance what the punch line is so you can laugh before you hear it, which is why you see so many astrologers walking round the street with wide grins on their faces and sometimes even drooling from the corner of their mouths through laughing so much even though they haven't seen or heard anything funny! How cool is that! |

I must be on a different planet ....so b-o-r-i-n-g. Obviously the writer must enjoy being the centre of attention. Why couldn't he just say 'no'. -jl |
