I had an auntie who was like that - her dyspepsia, his nerves, her brother, his brother, his work, his pay, her neighbour - all negative and draining. BUT - if you could get her away from it, take her for a drive, ply her with a couple of sherrys and a nice meal, she was a different person and was one of the sweetest and most generous people you could meet :-D |

I think it's very easy to depress other people, by constantly focusing on what is wrong..I expect we all have someone who after they've phoned you, you feel like running for the bread knife because they have drained every cheerful drop of optimism and joie de vivre you ever had. |
