Some years ago I had a drunken debate with a close friend Re: if you could change anything that has happened in your life would you? (courtesy of George Michael's Careless Whisper) |

What a lovely thing to find in your Mum's diary, Rose. When my Mum travelled she kept a diary (which I have) and my favourite is.....'went to see BC's friends on a houseboat and had a lovely evening. We had shepherds pie, followed by apple crumble and pot'..lol.....my Mum was game for anything new! :-D <3 |

I suppose like 'counting your blessings' being glad is something we all forget to do at times , and actually it's not usually when things are at their worst because that is when you 'dig in' and make the most effort to be positive. |

Good point Muffy. I know so many people who are so positive in the face of adversity, and don't use their problems in any way. My OH included I must say. You don't necessarily have to have been in a situation to be able to empathise. |

I'm not long back indoors from helping my neighbour to have a drink. He has MS and cannot move any of his limbs now. His wife is his main carer, but she has a hospital appointment this morning, so asked if I could pop in and help him by holding the cup so he can drink through a straw. |
