is not usually good stuff like that that hoarders keep. I jettisoned seven old vacuum cleaners, four bags of wool from unpicked jumpers,piles and piles of old magazines bought in from car boots, two rotary ironers,one without a motor.

I have a neighbour who doesn't have a life.She watches the shopping channels and tries to buy one. She gave me an electrical gadget that she couldn't remember what to do with saying it was a slow cooker. I was left to dispose of this slow cooker which turned out to be a rice cooker and who really needs one of those.

There are perfectly good things that you have no option but to dump.There is no facility to do otherwise, nobody will take it, which is probably the case with the dumped furniture.

We have recycling bins at our local tip for children's toys.

Thing is,you just don't know the story behind why this 'awful' man was throwing lego away.

Sometimes clearing the house of a hoarder is a very daunting task - even more so if you do not live locally. We should all think about what we are leaving behind for someone else to deal with.

Believe me, I got very very fed up with the cleverdicks who would say "oh you just have to do this, that and the other". 'Just do' is not easy when you have an enormous and emotional task which takes over your life.
I'm not one for waste but who exactly is the wasteful party - the one who creates the problem or the one who has to deal with it?
If you don't know the story behind the action don't judge. Nobody's perfect :-|

You can imagine how I would have felt seeing that, Gwen, what an awful man not to think of passing on those toys to a charity shop or playgroup or school. I would probably have had to say something to him. Wasn't there anyone at the tip who checks what is thrown, as most places sell on useable stuff these days.

I mean, Lego can be shoved into a pillowcase and tied up and washed in a washing machine to be almost as good as new.

He is obviously not being affected by the cuts everyone else is feeling and the higher cost of living.

Sharron, I too hate waste but any spare bread is out for my hedgehogs and birds and other bits of leftover food too, if it's to their taste. I rarely waste things tho, my waistline shows I am telling the truth lol

Places that serve huge portions, especially of food you can't really doggy bag. Either you shovel down what you don't want or it goes to feed rats and gulls on a landfill.

Big 'share' bags of sweets or crisps, except you don't do you? You shovel in a big bag of what you didn't really want and certainly don't need.

Did you know it is cheaper to buy a whole new electric razor than to replace the heads? The sense in that is......?!

THIS MORNING WE TOOK REAL RUBISH TO THE TIP BUT WHAT

I SAW A GUY DO TWO TRIPS CARRYIING LARGE BOXES WHICH I THOUGHT EMPTY BUT WERE FULL OF
