Dear Stray

Hello

The Wetlands Centre in Barnes, London is a beautiful place for wildlife and the
countryside.

WWT London Wetland Centre
Queen Elizabeth's Walk
Barnes, London
SW13 9WT

020 8409 4400

By tube
Hammersmith tube (on the Piccadilly and District & Circle Lines) is the nearest tube station. From here it is just a 10 minute bus ride 283.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For a museum, the Wallace Collection off Oxford Street has free entry and is piled high with historical furniture, paintings, miniatures, etc.

http://www.wallacecollection.org/

Open Monday to Sunday, 10-00am to 5-00pm.

One of London's best kept secrets.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The other thing I would suggest is the Original London Bus Ride with the boat trip down to Greenwich. You can get off at the special stops when you like and you can see the sights of London from the top of the bus.

http://www.theoriginaltour.com/

And the tickets have been reduced a bit too.

You can great pictures.

I am all for saving as my lot have allready planned the summer holidays.

They have forgotten one thing..................money!

Whatever you do, travel safely.

Take gentle care
Best wishes

If you are bringing a child take an open-top bus ride , about an hour ,then Tower of London, Tower Bridge ,pose for a photo outside the other front door of 10 Downing Street [just in case he becomes prime minister} that's at the base of Tower Bridge, and a pit stop at St Katherine's dock cafe.

If you have longer cross the bridge turn right and see the Clink Jail, Golden Hind and Globe theatre along the South Bank,by which time you will need new feet !

Not sure of recent arrangements, but when I last went to Natural History Museum a couple of years ago, there was a seperate queue once inside to have access to the dinosaur section. On the day we visited with grandson it was quite long and quite alot of waiting.

I'm sure it's good fun, but the time factor might need considering if you don't have long in London.

Betcha......I know these things cos I was young once.....never forgot my visit to either of them.....awe inspiring
