I've always said, if money was no object, I'd buy my elder and her hubby a restaurant to run, and buy a house for my younger - or at least give the pair of them enough for a decent deposit.
I would give up work and write a story based on my grandparents letters - if only to prove 'Southerners' are/were poor as well as 'Northerners'!!
Also to prove that black people lived quite happily in this country before the colour of your skin became an 'issue'.

My real wish, however has to be to set up a care home for the elderly that incorporated a rare breeds farm! So I'd give up one job to start another-one that I want to do, but one step on from what I already do!
Another bonus - I'd be employing people too!

The clients (if able) would be encouraged to help out, both with the animals and the veg garden. They would also be fed the product of their work - and these, being old breeds (the animals, not the clients!! LOL) wouldn't be filled with antibiotics.

Just thought, I could also supply the restaurant run by my elder and her hubby- he (a chef) is as enthusiastic about the taste of rare breeds as I am!!

I worked before I had my children..now my job is to bring my children up and I commit myself to that 100% despite the cr*p wages lololol x

I assure you I have taken responsibility, And contributed to society.....more than anyone could ever imagine........just to set the record straight. Paid work........nah!......work......Yes!

I've worked for my living all my life.

If I suddenly became rich, I would still work, although maybe not for my living.

I did have the, uh, luxury for some years of being able to work at what I wanted to do without having to worry about being paid, because I also worked at another occupation at the same time that I earned a living from. Two full-time jobs, basically. I felt privileged that I could do what I did to benefit refugees and others who could not afford legal services.

So I'd work at something equally rewarding and important, and maybe drop what I do now for a living. I enjoy it, and it isn't without reward and importance, I'd just have more choice and I'd try something else out.

Not working, not taking responsibility for myself and contributing to my society, as a grownup adult person, just isn't something I can imagine.

Well, OH does the lottery because he would like to have the wherewithall to purchase two young racehorses! Me, I would like to purchase a boat (even one of the smaller ones) for RNLI.

See our two gchildren OK and as we already do support our favourite charities, could probably do a bit more for them.

I couldn't give up work cos I have never needed to work.

If money was no object, after things had settled down I would think about setting up some sort of charity/ trust for under privillaged (sp?) child here in the UK

I'd donate some to certain charities. I'd like to travel the world first, or at least parts of it. Then I could decide what to do when I arrived back home :-D

The big thing would be to have a cleaner to do the housework.

Animal charities would get few bob now and then,anonymously.

Maybe I could set up some kind of charity that would provide a place of refuge for children living with narcissistic parents. A place to run to when life was just too stressful where they would be believed before anybody else.That's what I would have liked.

I get great pleasure in what I do so cash wouldnt change that,,,,rich today means passing the half way billionair mark.

I'd have super dupper rescues for all animals.

id take my son to toys r us n tell him to fill a many trolleys as he wished haha

then id buy a lil farm with horses, and pay someone else to muck em out :-D

Muffy, aren't they great, ex battery hens, watching them get used to scratching about and dust baths ( I went right back to my childhood then!) It would be nice to have some again.
