Wow still cannot believe Jai won, although it was well-deserved. Was certain that the "cute factor" would win through in favour of Ronan though.

By the way, Jean Martyn in TENTH PLACE????? She was my absolute favourite and it was a travesty that Steven Hall scored higher than her (and was even in the final in the first place, considering some of the other acts that were lost ie. Pip and Puppy. Celtic Colleens etc).

Jude, you and me both, I kept thinking how Razi will have osteoarthritis at least in his poor knees in a few years time and a bad back too. He was good tho and what a likeable chap as were many of the people on the show, except Simon Cowell lol

I got goosebumps when Jai sang, could hear a hint of Andrea Bocelli's voice in his and thought he wouldn't stand a chance cos of his nerves. I am so pleased he won and is going to do something sensible with his winnings, buy his house (presumably right to buy council property but so what, his right unless he can find something else in the same price range). At least he won't have frittered it away the way Matt Cardle spent his money on cars and boozeups when he won X factor or whatever it was.
I thought Jai belted his song out beautifully and altho Ronan was as good, felt Jai will benefit more from winning than Ronan will. Felt sorry for Michael Collings tho but hope he and Paul and New Bounce will be signed up by some company or other to progress their career. They could even sign up that crazy woman with her keyboard, her music does make you feel perked up lol or maybe make a dvd of her playing and then Stephen Hall dancing, as a feelgood thing.

Quite glad it's all over before I go away so I won't have to be in front of tv every evening lol

Very surprised that Jai won, I wouldn't have thought he'd make the top five to be honest! Im doubting that a career will take off for him and that this time next year he'll be totally forgotten.

Thought Jai was the right winner. I didn't like Simon and Amanda's reaction though after he won. Rather than concentrating on Jai (after all it's what the public wanted) they kept talking about how they thought Ronan should have won.

I'm also a bit jaded when it comes to Simon and how he tries to sway votes with his "judge's opinion". Clearly the public saw through him or didn't care this time.

He is always going to wonder if the smear against him put people off voting. But Jai was a worthy winner, he sang well and had a good stage presence. I thought Ronan was great in defeat, very adult in the way he handled himself. And I also think that both he and New Bounce will be given some sort of chance by Simon.

Jai announced the winner with Ronan in second

Wonder if people do not vote for Ronan as they thought he would win anyway

I think that Jai will be in the top three but I have to give my vote to Ronan who was the best act tonight.

Overall not a bad show

Might be a case of re-incarnation? lol such a mature voice and control.

I missed some of it but think it will either be Jai or Ronan to win?

Ronan Parke is from my neck of the woods and has had a lot of support from Bryan Gunn, an ex Norwich City goalie who with his wife, an artist, is well known for his charity fundraising after his small daughter died of leukaemia several years ago. Seems his 18 yr old daughter helped Ronan apply to BGT online, without his parent's knowledge!
His mother is Scottish and his Dad local to Norfolk but the mother said he hadn't had elocution lessons as some papers were saying, just the way the Norfolk and Scottish accents have moulded her children's speech which is understandable.

Mrs Gunn did let slip that Ronan had been having lessons for some time but that he has been keen on singing from an early age and sang at her daughter's birthday party and at school concerts etc.

I liked the Scottish singer Jai? and the lad Michael with the new baby, but some of the acts put through to the semi finals were farcical and a waste of time, there were other better talents who weren't chosen.

I am getting fed up with Simon and his favouritism and nasty remarks. That young woman wasn't that bad a singer nor were the couple.
