I shall print this thread and when my son pats me on the head pityingly saying 'awww Mum you are losing it aren't you..we'll have to put you away' :O :D I shall wave the list in his face triumphantly and show him I belong to an Elite Club!

Thanks for the laughs. BCXX

You're on the *eyebrow* thread Susan. I thought I was on Facebook, but I seem to be here now. Wanders off, perplexed, looking for night nurse >>>>>

It is not exactly forgetfulness but sometimes I think I live in some kind of trance. The other morning, while I was getting dressed, I was shocked and horrified to see I had a large wart on my breast.

It was actually the big wart that has always been on there. There is one on the other breast too.

I was in a supermarket today and the previous customer had forgotten to pick up the half a cucumber she had just purchased , I picked it up and gave chase , waving the cucumber at the first retreating female back I spotted , the rather alarmed lady said it wasn't hers but luckily the woman who had left it heard my loud " excuse me is this your cucumber " and made herself known ........ she was only in her mid twenties I should say .......so BC dear , you don't have to worry to much about it being a " senile " thing ....... lol :-)

My daughter found it hilarious that her silly old Mum had waved the forgotten veg at the wrong person ....lol

I used to help at Sons School when he was in reception class. One afternoon after helping with reading I started to wander off home once the children had gone home and I forgot to pick up my Son from the next door classroom!

I was 40 at the time and forgetting things is getting worse

:S

I remember my neighbour telling me she had gone upstairs for something,I can't remember what. By the time she had reached the bedroom she must have stopped thinking and one into automatic mode.

She undressed and went to bed. When she reached to put the light out she noticed the clock and realized it was 2 o'clock in the afternoon!

Island.

It was in the Seventies, the bag was the type that you couldn't put on your shoulder so had to be on your arm, and the kettle was gas whistler with the half hoop handle, easy mistake to make. (Goes to the corner of the room now with me dunce hat on.)

when I was a baby my mum pushed me up to the shops in my pram, went into the post office leaving me outside asleep
( those were the days!) , came out, went home... My grandmother said "where's the baby?!"..... still fast asleep outside the PO, mum just forgot me :O ( at least that's what she said...... !)

A few years ago I went to the mall I frequented and did a biggish grocery shop. I trundled the buggy out onto the sidewalk in front of the store where you can pull up in the car and load. I went back to the parking garage on the other side of the mall where my car was. I drove home and parked in my driveway.

It was another 10-mile round trip back to the store ...

I was 40ish at the time. I hesitate to think how much worse it must have got since then. At least I probably don't remember.

JiminyCricket....... Nostalgia aint what it used to be.

I don't think it is an age thing, I remember years ago, when I was in my twenty's setting off for work with the kettle on my arm instead of my handbag.

Hi BC.... long time no see.....x
Please don't worry.
I have been doing things like that for over 30 years and I am still managing to remember who I am. Your mind was busy, as simple as that.
