Another thought springs to mind - maybe I could sell my 35yr old mattress on E-bay under 'Shabby Chic' - whaddya reckon? Or should that be 'Used to be Chic, now Shabby' lol!

If you do decide to go for it...I'd recommend paying a tad extra to get the one with the holes in it that reduces the heat.

Lots of people say they find them very hot...but it's never been a problem for me because of the thermo blah blah mine has (sorry can't remember all the technical terms lol) x

I looked at the tempur mattress McMuff & for my kingsize bed it was £2250.00.

Did you look on Ebay hon? They ARE very expensive from bed stores etc...but Ebay do them much cheaper.

Mine is a kingsize too btw.x

I'm awake, i'm awake, in fact i was awake all night, not a wink of sleep & i'm knackered today, i sat on the sofa last night & i could hardly keep my eyes open, went to bed & i was wide awake, i just could not sleep.
The topper is superb & so comfy but i was hot.

Fingers crossed for tonight.

Oh McB,

Get rid of the duvet and try cotton sheets and a light blanket if you have one,
you might feel less hot.

Wear thinner pyjamas and throw the duvet back. Toppers do make it warm but you get used to adjusting to it.

Hmmmm....I was thinking of getting the girls a topper...but if they make you that hot then I think I'll save my pennies and get them a mattress with the thermo wotsits in ...
