Thank you all again for your input ... I have spoken to owner today about
her animals.

She understood my concerns & is no longer going to leave the dog alone for these long periods.

What did she say about the cats, did she mind about them coming to you?

I am glad you got a satisfactory result for the dog.

Back in the 1980's neighbours across the road bought a dog. It was well loved, well cared for and they provided it with everything it could possibly need. Both went out to work - he full time and her part time, a few hours a week - and the dog was kept in the house whilst they were out.

To see them with their pet you would think everything was absolutely fine, and that there were no problems in leaving their pet whilst they went to work. After all she was only ever away for a couple of hours at t time.

What they didn't know, however, was that no sooner had they driven round the corner, the dog would start howling. It started off as a little wailing moan, but soon became a howling banshee. It continued non stop until the dog heard their car re-appear around the corner, when it promptly stopped.

In the end their immediate neighbours mentioned it an as you might gather, were not believed and almost treated as busy bodies.. So they decided to make a tape recording of the incessant howling. On being presented with this the couple were so shocked that the wife decided to give up work altogether so as the dog would not be left alone.
