Oh now I feel virtuous, I have just spent an hour clearing off the two book shelves in the dining room that were stacked with leaflets on places of interest etc that we had accumulated and never referred back to. They are now in the re-cycling bin now and the shelves look tidy again. Found some more books for the charity shop as well.

I am at the moment, doing one of my 'jobs to do'. I am soaking my feet, and getting rid of the hard skin and cutting my toe nails. Uk uk, you may say, for a Sunday morning. But, it is something I can do whilst doing something else.
I usually visit the NHS Chiropodist on a regular basis, (appointment only).
But, as I have been in an out of hospital as an inpatient for something else, if I miss an appointment, they never reschedule. I have to get in touch with them. If I rang them this week, it would probably be another month until I get an appointment, so I am having a go myself, for comfort purposes.
Well, that is a job well done.
Have a good day all, and don't do too many jobs.LOL
Take care

DizzieLizzie, library fines, that's madness, you could have bought the books instead of paying the fines:-)

But I know how easy it is to get distracted:-)

Oh yes,I don't think I mentioned the bathroom floor and stairs I started sanding two years ago.We have had no door on the bathroom in all that time.Does that indicate that we may have been together too long?

When I do get down to the ironing I am always delighted with the extensive wardrobe I have to choose from for a short while.

Then there is that bag of rosehips I had very good intentions for in the autumn and the bag of medlars the went well past bletting.

Huge, huge library fines (£45 once and I had to go and negotiate) because I forget to renew.

When I was going out to work I used to wish for more time at home to do things. Now I am here all the time it still doesn't get done.

2 of my one of these days jobs are

Redecorating the upstairs loo. Shouldn't really take long and have had the paint for about 3 years!

Finishing off hems and turnings for net curtians. They've been taken out and put away for about the same time - lol

Mail doesn't both me. They get opened, put on the windowsill for dealing with, but when they are eventually looked properly at a week or so later, most of it ends up in the bin

Apparently, there is going to be an extra button on the TV remote control to allow the viewer to airbrush/iron-out the presenter's facial wrinkles.

Tooty you are a saint LOL. You look after the ironing as I wlways intend to, but it never happens, one thing at a time, in a panic, because it's the last minute!
My nemesis is piles of paper, unopened envelopes, yes I know what I SHOULD do, but only at tax time can I seem to deal with it, and then shock myself at how little time it actually took !!
I constantly Freecycle other things, but those wretched papers

TootyFruity

TootyFruity Report 21 Jan 2011 14:05

Well I keep putting things off apart from the ironing.

I wash, dry, air and put away and iron as I need it. Better to spend five minutes ironing something for everyone to wear than two hours with a great big pile:-)

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 21 Jan 2011 12:37

Brian I'm glad I'm not alone, feeling better already.
There's always tomorrow but saying that tomorrow
never comes. It would have to be the spur of the
moment with me, don't talk about it do it, either
that or I would need to be buried in them when I
open the door.
