Theresa (Cork, Ireland) 157164 Report 13 Oct 2010 10:58

Some of you might remember some time ago (I dont get here often now) about a little girl I know of who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is an aggressive cancer in very young children. Holly was about 17months when diagnosed and will be 3 in December. Since she was diagnosed she has undergone many bouts of chemo, numerous operations and a few times of great worry. This is currently one of these times. Holly took a turn for the worst yesterday and her parents meet with surgeons tomorrow.
She has a fb page if anyone would like to leave a comment

Many thanks for all your prayers and comments.

Poor wee soul, and sympathy for her parents too.
Sad when a loved one is ill, but when it is a child it so hard to accept isn't it?
Bless her.

Have looked at Holly's FB page.It brought tears to my eyes. How cruel it is to see such a beautiful, vunerable little mite so ill, and have to watch helplessly.
May Holly, her parents and all that love her, find the strength and courage to get through this dreadful time, and may little Holly get over this bad "bout" quickly.

theresa, in 2003 my own daughter had neuroblastoma stage 4 and spent a year in a childrens hospital in glasgow, so i know exactly what you are going through. if you want to pm me with any questions or ask about my own daughter, please feel free to do so. i will say she is now a bubbly 13 year old and was only 5 when she was diagnosed. she came through it and is very lucky.
take care

Hi Theresa, poor little Holly has gone through so much, altho of course she probably hardly knows any difference but her family do and it must be awful for them all. Let's hope things get better for her soon.

Lovely photos of her on FB, in one, the little mite is smiling, in spite of everything.

Am very sorry to hear the bad news about little Holly, it is so unfair. I think about her a lot, can only imagine what she and her parents are going through. Hope she responds to any treatment she may be having very soon.

Holly currently has a chest infection after her high dose steroids....

She was sent home after her tumour had doubled after its 'final' removal.

She has enjoyed a really lovely week with her family and (I) its hoped she might enjoy her 3rd birthday with family too...

Sorry my updates arent everyday!
