I have had a reply to my pm from GR
Hazelx

Dear Hazel Thanks for your email. I've checked your contacts page and messages and can't see your date of birth shown anywhere. Please can you confirm exactly where you can see it? Does it show on a particular contact or message? I'll be happy to check this again for you. Best regards,

I sent a complaint in yesterday

I got this message back

Thank you for taking the time to write to us and express your opinion.

We are currently receiving a lot of feedback from our members but please be assured that your email has been noted and will be passed onto our Mangement team and that we are already working to fix any teething problems over the next week or two.

Best regards,

Julie

You now have to click on the TITLE of the message to open it

You apparently have to have a title to a message that you send, or it will not go

If you click on the name (as we used to do to open the messagge), then you get a little information, which includes the Tree access request/allowed

it's all a mess!

Hi Deanna I also wrote on GR just a short while ago, my pc went a bit funny and my message disappeared, I did not know that it sent so I wrote it out again, then got an abusive message from a rather rude person and even after my explanation the cheeky person still gave verbal abuse. I have not used GR for a long time but it is really off putting when this happens.
I must say I preferred the old GR pages and I hope you got yours sorted out without too much trouble.

why some people feel the need to be verbally abusive I really donlt know - you should c & p their message and send it to GR

I can now access my messages but it is still on this cumbersome new system - and as for seeing years of birth - of course you can - I c & p'd the one I found earlier for all to see - hope David doesn't mind!!

they haven't had the courtesy to acknowledge any of my complaints

Thanks for the support on this matter, I am just glad it is not just me otherwise I might have doubted myself. I now feel more reassured. Anyway I am off now to cook for the brood.
Take care and hope it all gets sorted for you.

Maggie

I think I have to disagree with you re your thread

............... your messages were also unwarrantedly rude

The person you accuse of being so rude to you, and who you told never to contact you again .................. is one of the very best researchers on these boards!
