I don't know why I thought Vera was going out tomorrow ,I hope she's had a nice time .
Ann yes I did manage to get the cushions another beige one for Lacey and a grey one for Chelsea . The cake smells lovely ,I have just one more Christmas pudding to make now but I couldn't mix it today to cook tomorrow as we're out shopping . The hearts are worked on the squares as you go along ,it's bobbles you make and they stand out on the square .
It's been a nice sunny day but very cold some of the frost hung about for quite a while we're the sun didn't catch it .

Afternoon All,
Very frosty and cold here this morning and the cars and rooftops were all white, so I pulled the covers back over me and stayed in bed till the heating took the chill off, then showered ready to pop out. There was a long stretch of parked cars outside the Post Office with a huge van trying to reverse out of the row so I waited on my side of the road well back to give him room to do some shunting a few times to face the same way as me and drive forward. I started to follow him when an electric double decker bus that had been waiting behind all the parked carsthe other side of the road facing my direction decided to pull out onto my side of the road and drive towards me even though he could see there was no room to pass and the kerb was high too. I had to reverse up and pull into a driveway opening on my left, but what an idiot! I suspect he was running late and had already waited a while for the lorry to do the shunting, but it's no excuse for overtaking a long row of parked cars when there is a car coming the opposite way. I'd already done a detour on the way because of a 'Road Ahead Closed' sign that just hadn't been removed after work was finished. Anyway I posted the abroad cards, got some stamps, their nice cobs, the paper and a nice Christmas card for OH and called in the Chemist on the way back and picked up OH's meds.
Another pretty blanket finished Mandy and beautifully made again. I love how you have mixed the colours and the way the hearts stand out. Are the hearts crocheted on as you go or afterwards? Did you manage to get the other two cushions you wanted yesterday? I hope the cake turns out well,
Thank you Gwyn, those are good prices and make Christmas dinner cheaper and give us our five a day!
It would be good to put out some decs and your cottages AnnG. It will look cheery then for when you get home tomorrow and keep you busy today. :-) The roads here are really bad a lot of the time now and OH has to allow more and more time to get to his meetings. It's not surprising the roads are getting busier when you read that 1 in 25 of the people living in this country have arrived since 2021.
Can't you access the internet on your phone Mel? If you can you should be able to access your email on there.
I hope Vera is having a nice time looking at the Christmas decs. They are usually quite special at the stately homes.

Hope Vera is having a lovely time at Bleneim
I have the cottages all in place, hardest bit is carrying them all downstairs but I found a bag that I could fit two into, easier to carry that way. Have to put all the figures on it after lunch.

Morning all,
Very frosty here first thing but the suns out so it's gradually burning it away ,not going out today ,fires lit so it's a day of inside jobs ,might do another christmas cake I'll see . Chelsea's squares are all done so I need to lay them all out on the bed to get some order to the colours .
Mel your having a lot of trouble with your PC hope you can sort it ok ,I meant to say when you emailed me a reply about the blanket it came through with your OH's name not yours .
All your little cottages look so pretty when you have them all out Anng ,it will keep you busy for a while .
Ann you did well to get your car out after getting boxed like that some people have no consideration for other drivers they just pull up hop out and away ,if doesn't even enter their heads to look and see if others could get in after they've parked .
Vera enjoy your day out tomorrow, the weather should be a but milder so you've picked the right day to go .
Right better get the cake mixed and in the oven then I can get on with other jobs .

Thank you for explaining that to Mel Vera and AnnG. I have sent pictures with a message before, but not with an email. I just tested it out and found I can share to an email as well, so I have learned something today. I normally download photos from my phone to my laptop and then attach to an email to send, but it is handy and quick to be able to attach them from the phone to an email at times.

Pleased you had a nice lunch but what a horrid journey home AnnG.
In case your phone is like mine Mel, click on the picture you want to send. It will come up on screen with various symbols under it. Click on the one that looks like a square with an upward pointing arrow. That will then show all the ways you can send your picture. Click on Mail and you will see a normal email with the picture. Just fill in the email of the person you are sending it to, subject etc just as normal. It sounds worse than it is, it’s really easy.

Had a nice lunch in The Harvester I had half of a rotisserie chicken with barbecue sauce and chips and the free salad of course plus a couple of glasses of Shiraz
Only thing was it was a late lunch and we came out at 4pm straight into nose to tail traffic all the way home no more than five miles took almost a hour.
Mel with your photos opened click on one you want to send it might somewhere say share, click on that and if should come up with email option.

Good afternoon all
It’s cold and windy but quite bright and sunny. The wind is making it feel a lot colder than the temperature says.
Mel, only you can know what is happening but, because of the way you often get deleted mid sentence or the post gets twisted so the last bit shows before the first bit, it looks as though your cursor is in the middle of the text when something happens. Try making sure the cursor is at the very end of the text and see what happens. It’s only a suggestion as I really haven’t a clue. I’m not surprised you are being told you need more cloud storage with all those emails!! They must take a lot of space up on your computer and other devices if you have got them synched. Assuming your phone is similar to mine you should be able to forward pictures to anyone on your email list. If I’ve got a few pictures I want to show our little group, I select the ones I want and then email them to myself. I can then forward the email on to the group in one go.
I’m so pleased the little one is back home now AnnG and hope for a quick recovery for him. I hope you enjoy your lunch and seeing your friend again. I won’t be posting tomorrow as we are going to Blenheim to see all their decorated rooms and Christmassy things so good luck for Thursday. I’ll be thinking of you.
Annx, you did well to get out of that boxed in situation. I hate it when you have to shuffle backwards and forwards. I occasionally have to do it at the chiropodists but I have a favourite spot in the town carpark where something can park on one side but not on the other nor in front or behind. Unfortunately at least 50% of the time something else has parked there first but I get that spot when I can.
I’m waiting for a delivery from Tesco and will be looking carefully at dates. In the meantime I am going to see if OH has woken up yet. He fell asleep at the end of the lunchtime news and I need him to do my next lot of drops for me.

Afternoon All,
Frost here this morning and OH couldn't remember where he put the de-icer when he emptied the porch cupboard. Luckily it wasn't frozen hard and an old loyalty card scraped it off the windscreen. We went to the garden centre that does poached eggs and OH decided he liked their wholemeal bread after all. We got a few christmas bits, then called in the shop. When we got home we swapped into my car to get diesel then called in another garden centre which was on the way back to look around and at The Works in there. I couldn't believe it when we walked out, as I had parked beyond the store front up to the fence where there were hardly any cars parked. Now I was boxed in with a big van one side, a lorry the other on the skew and a lorry blocking my exit. Once I'd shunted umpteen times I went through the entrance to get out. OH's comment was that 'these things always seem to happen to you'. :-(
I'm so pleased the baby boy is home where it is familiar AnnG and hope he is soon better now he is on the mend. It's good Cynth can take and fetch you to your appointment as chatting with a friend passes the time waiting. Enjoy your meal and chat today. None of OH's tablets affect him driving or make him drowsy and he has read all those lengthy leaflets rgat come with them to be sure,
Mel I thought because you said you didn't know how the pics had turned out you didn't know where to find them on your phone to look at. Have a google or look at your phone instructions about downloading your pics. You must have used a cable between your phone and PC before I would think. Your PC should be faster when you have got rid of a lot of those emails! Don't forget the 'trash' and the 'sent' ones as well.
That was a good saving at Tesco's on the clothes Mandy and I hope you manage to get 2 more of the cushions today. Things will get snapped up quickly now it's nearer Christmas. Yes Fitz has had some lovely Christmas Trees. His wife has retired now and he has mentioned, but also said he dreads moving house, so I'm not sure how much longer he will be having such big trees
OH has gone to a meeting now and says he will be dealing with work stuff much of tomorrow so I'd better get the hoovering done now as he won't want all that noise tomorrow.

I have tried knocking buttons on the key board with just a few words on a post so I don't know what it is that wipes most of it out.
Shopping came and the sub was for 4 fresh cream eclairs and they two boxes of two eclairs which was fine but the date on them is today!! so I have asked for a refund.
Suns been out all morning and its 8 degrees but feels very cold indoors so I think the heating may go on.
I have been deleting emails from 2008 and found some interesting ones one of which is Fitz's sitting room with Christmas tree and decs. I don't think it was from 2008 but I am now up to 2013.

Good morning all back down to 2 degrees and I was a bit chilly when I was awake around 3am in bed. Being taken out to lunch lunch time to a fairly local Harvester that I have not been to before. This friend was my boss and quite a bit younger than me when I lived in the forest of Dean in the 70s. We have remained friends ever since. These days only manage to stay in touch via email and meet once a year around Christmas. They have a house in Italy where they spend quite a bit of time. It is a late lunch as they have somewhere to go first so will pick me up around 1.30.
Ann they have not said anything about what exactly they will do, being so quick I have only had a phone call and a message on the NHS App. I assume they will decide which procedure to use on the day. If it is stitches I can usually get them removed at my surgery but maybe things have changed. It is all wait and see.
