Mel, this is VERY interesting, you certainly are a mine of info. I have so many Agri Workers of one shape or another in my tree, and to be able to get an idea of their everyday lives is amazing. Thank you so much for doing all this for me/us It just shows what HARD lives they all led, made worse by the fact that if the 'man' died, as he must have done quite frequently, the rest of the family would be turned out onto the streets to make way for the incoming one! really dreadful, I think sometimes, we don't know we're born, particularly perhaps some of our young folk!! Done a load of housework this a.m (think of doing it all by hand!!) so am feeling virtuous!! Crab Salad for supper tonight, nice and easy, then Roast Chicken tomorrow, so not too much effort needed!

Dull day here ,we had drizzle this morning , we are suppose to be going to the Firework display later ,but i think both of us hopes it will rain so we don't have to go lol ,the trouble is the little ones are so looking forward to it ,they came this morning and son opened his presents with lots of help from the little ones !!
Got to get my gloves and scarf out ready for tonight ,i hate being cold and standing about my feet get frozen !!

Hubby's tooth is fine this morning ,he had it filled with No injection !!!!
We haven't seen this dentist before he's a new chap ,hubby says he was very nice so when i go in a fortnight i'll see how gentle he is , i hate going but you have to look after your teeth .

Liz , your Crab salad sounds good , don't let Frank know your having one ,he likes Crab don't you Frank?? he always wants me to get him one when we go to the coast !!

I am wondering if that owl might be missing some of his right wing.Just looking at my pics ,something just looks a bit odd.Maybe that is why it is not flying away,and only as far as the next field.

No definately a Barn Owl same as we have here. He has a good hunting ground where he is so looking for mice. May even have young at this time of year as the weather has been mild. That is mainly why you see them during the morning and just as it starts to get dark.

Where is Frank? He was going for a walk by the canal earlier!!!!!!

Hannah is busy cooking her Risotto!!.It does smell good.She made that Treacle Slice earlier,and it is delicious.I nipped out to buy some cream and custard to go with it.I feel like a spare part here.Not used to having someone else cook for me.I keep going into the kitchen ,and getting told "Get Out" lol

I really need to do some exercising Jane after these classes or my back will really be sore again, I can do the exercises at home but not a strongly as we do them in class and if there is no one to keep pushing me , I know I'll find an excuse not to do them.

We were on Amazon buying a couple of CDs for one of my girls christmas presents and OH wanted to buy me a Keep fit wii for christmas but when we looked at the price it was going to cost about £200 all together with the Wii and the game ,
I said no way not just for exercising ,
I would prefer to use the money for a trip to Ireland next year to do research on my ancestors . I'll sort some thing out I'm sure.

Family all gone home, daughter no 1 internet is not working so she came down to use my computer and just stayed for tea. that was good it means OH gets extra time to play with Sofia, where normally he only gets to see her on a Sunday.

Send Hannah here Jane, she's welcome to my kitchen....no interruption guaranteed !!! lol Sounds just what I fancy, Risotto followed by treacle slice and custard. Although I am tempted to nip out for fish and chips, I haven't had a chip for months. lol

Frank, does your camera have a little plastic picture card in it that the photos are stored on? If it does and your computer is like mine, there will be a slot to put the card in on the computer. The computer will have a screen come up that lets you look at or load the photos.

I wonder if Maureen is singing yet. lol

I have my ear plugs in Ann ( for Maureens singing) lol.I reckon she will have a few glasses tonight and she will be hogging that Karioke machine ( how the heck do you spell Karioke????).
Fireworks are very quiet tonight.Some bangs earlier,but touch wood it will be peaceful now.I think Chester is a little spaced out as he is on a highish dose of Steroid tab .One more full tablet tomorrow and then of half a one.He is drinking though like mad.That is a side effect.Lots of toilet breaks for him !!!

Risotto was delicious.It was with Pesto,Goats Cheese,Pine Nuts.Quite Garlicky though lol.No room for the Treacle Slice ,so that is tomorrows pudding
Go and get those Fish and Chips Ann.You will enjoy them !!!!!

Jane I went for my walk, and taken loads of photo's. When I know how, will send some on.

I haven't got a slot in my computer to put my card into. I have to do it straight from the camera to the computer. But can't work out how to transfer. Will have to get neighbour in, or wait for No. 2 son to come down.

I just knew you would pop in While XF is on Frank lol.I am watching it as I speak.Chris says it is a load of cr**.
I just plug the lead in from my camera to the laptop and it downloads .......just like that lol.I hope you work out how to get your pics on for us to see.

Hi all,
Back from the fireworks ,it was a good display ,held at Fakenham Racecourse ,we had to park on a grassy field ,we were ok but lots of cars were getting stuck and sliding all over the place !! as more cars came the more muddy it got !!
We came away just before it finished so we wouldn't get stuck in traffic ,the little ones were getting cold and tired ,son just rang and said they were all fast asleep.
Driving home it was very smokey and quite foggy in places .
Waiting to see Piers Morgan tonight , i like Susan Boyle.
