Hi All, Annx, Have been trying to upload a piccy to you all afternoon without any sucess! will have to ask OH to help me which goes a bit against the grain, but needs must!!
OH has to have a biopsy in the next week or two, which is making us feel a bit twitchy, but ignoring problems won't make them go away, so fingers crossed. Really AWFUL day today, teeming with rain and chilly. Merlin refuses to leave his stable, for an Exmoor he is a right old sissy about the weather!!

Oh thanks Sheila for your kind wishes I will look out for the card.
I don't know if we have your date of birth, please can we have it to add to our list.
Thats awful was it kids playing with the gun or was it an adult, terrible!!!!!
I hope the police find out who did it, and sort them out, I wish people were unable to get hold of any kind of gun, especially while in the street, you were very lucky Sheila, hope it heals up soon

Thanks mandy for your birthday wishes too

Sheila so sorry to hear about your getting shot in the eye. Just as well it was a cork! and not an air rifle pellet. Did you not see anyone around you as a cork would'nt have gone too far.

Hi Elizabeth.

Mums very weak today. We have been changing her chair in the bedroom to see if we can get her a bit more comfy. It did'nt work but we have put her deckchair cushions on her original chair as the back of it is low and the deck cushions are higher with a head cushion.

Just popped in to send Fiona my good wishes.

Many Thanks to Everyone for the support and friendship given during these past weeks. I will never forget your kindness, which in turn has given me the strength to help my family. Thank You xx

Yesterday was very sad, but the service at the church and crematorium were beautiful and I'm sure the words spoken and kindness shown to my BIL, have helped him. The sense of loss which he feels is so immense and I know the road ahead is difficult - but today I know he will make it.
Thank you for your positive thoughts - they have helped xx

It was the first time I had met many of Nicole's family - they were lovely. Most of them live in Holland, but some in Germany and France. Not all were fluent in English - but we got by. One of the twins is fluent in Dutch - so that was a help lol. Apart from their kindness, what struck me was how tall they were. I was the shortest lady amongst them and I'm 5 ft 9'' lol
My OH is 6' 2'' and all the guys towered above him - averaging 6'5'' and a couple were 6'7''. Anyway, they were lovely and being with them has helped.

I will catch up on your posts soon, Until then, I send you my heartfelt thanks :)

Catie xx

So sorry to hear about your mum Mel, it's not easy looking after a frail parent, you have my sympathy and good wishes. So glad you came through yesterday, Catiel, what a very sad difficult time this has been for you and your family. Lovely to meet new family, lets hope you stay in touch so that perhaps a little sunshine will evolve from such a traumatic time.

I second what Elizabeth just said Catie. When my aunt died several years ago I met up with cousins I hadn't seen in years, we have continued to e.mail and when the cousin who lives in Canada comes over we have a family do. The same when my mum died, I get phone calls from cousins in Wales that up till then I only saw at Funerals.

Well how many posts have popped up since I last looked?????
Shirl,I'm sure you got a real scare with poor OG going hypo.I hope he has recovered now .

Sheila ,you should have stayed in Wales!!!!.Little blighter(s).Thank god it wasn't your eye.I bet you look a honey with that bruise lol

Elizabeth, will your OH have to stay in for the biopsy or is he a day case?
Your poor mum Mel,sounds like she is getting weaker and weaker .Give her my love please.I'm sure she will remember me and Janice.

Catie,I so pleased everything went well yesterday .I bet a lot of the Dutch rellies were blond as well as being tall.I remember when I was in Holland I couldn't get over how tall especially the men were.Handsome too lol
Now it is going to be a gradual recovery for you all and find some kind of routine.Slowly Slowly day by day.One day your BIL will see some light at the end of a tunnel.
I hope the girls are ok and that Mark is still being a good little boy at night for you !
Thanks for dropping in.

Frank ,who is this Janice?

Have I missed anyone....Oh yes Mandy. There are 2 Drs off at the surgery with tummy bugs.I hope Chris doesn't get it next.Hope your DIL gets over hers soon.

Catie I am so pleased the funeral went well .I do hope your BIL pain eases soon I do not think it will be easy for him
his poor wife died so young and there are children without a mother it is so sad but he is lucky to have you and I hope
everything turns out well for him in the end.

Elizabeth any news about your husband. I hope he will be ok.
Mel I am so sorry about your mum also.

Well I know I have said this many times but I am not going to be on Genes now for sometime. I am going to spend sometime with my friend Annie in Stratford upon Avon
Annie lives out in a little village close by no computors
or tv but we are going to do some art and crafts to try and
raise some money for a few things the hospice needs.Annies got a car and the shops are not far away.
My son in law will have to have a scan on his head he feels very unwell after that fall .The countryside is beautiful and I love Stratford I may get to see a play in the main theatre after all. Annie paints pictures like Maureen and is very talented maybe will show me a few tricks I am not all that good at oils more water colour light sketches and a dab of colour is my limits.

My ho s friend is coming for a few weeks to look after the shop and my eldest daughter and her husband are going off to Tunisia. My face is very red and bruised after being it in it by a youth with a gun that shot very hard corks which he should not have had did say earlier I think but perhaps nobody noticed the weather here is terrible today and my computor is playing up. I deleted a thread by mistake
sorry. I have enjoyed the chats the jokes and laughs
and shared in the sadness of people but had enough this year and Birmingham .Today was the last straw for me.
I think the worlds gone crazy .I think someone sent me a
message it said its not the world it is the people in it or something like that. Anniesbeen suggesting I go for ages
and she such a lovely calm person and what I need
right now. I cried buckets earlier when I saw my face and it hurts too . take care all from sheila .I just felt i did not deserve that today just walking my dog

Thank you for your kind words. OH will be a day case, so at least he can come home and rest . We expect to hear in the next day or two when that will be so really nothing to report till the results come and then we shall have to take it from there depending what the outcome is. It's rained her ALL day!! lets hope tomorrow is better. Oh dear Sheila you seem to be a bit in the wars, things tend to go in phases, so lets hope this is the end of a bad one for you and that you will now enter a good one, you certainly deserve to.
