Morning Gyn we only have a very light breeze but the ground is too wet to go outside. I have plenty to catch up on indoors so I won't be bored ;-) :-D :-D

A lovely bright morning here, but the strong breeze gave it an early morning autumn feel.
Hoping to catch up on some gardening, while the weather is good.

That's a good idea maybe. OH is quite good at helping dig up the dead as he loves using his camera and does all the phots of gravestones while I take notes.

In fact I might even go by coach if it's easier.

When I travel up north it is usually on my own and that is ok with me because hubby would be bored to tears and he isn't that keen on family history which is why I go there.

LaGooner Report 28 Sep 2021 23:23

It tires us too much to do it unless it was an emergency, hence we go in the car and stop half way at the services for a coffee and a snack. We usually take goodies for the mini Gooners anyway so we would be too loaded with bags :-D :-D :-D

Crikey I couldn't do all that even if I wanted to, my ability to walk is greatly reduced and I now have a Rollator / Zimmer frame with a seat so I can sit down when I need to, it won't stop me from traveling abroad though, it will just be a bit difficult.

We both have passes and we don't do many miles a week in the car either. The only time we use a lot of petrol is to visit our daughter oop norf and that is not very often. It is awkward to get to hers on trains as we either have to get a lift or a long bus ride changing twice to get to the right main line station and then 3 changes of train.

Not a rant and I agree it is the selfish so and so's that cause the shortages, I have a bus pass but hubby doesn't and the main supermarket is a short bus ride away anyway, but we only do about 12 miles a week if we have to go to the tip, sometimes none at all.
