I forgot to tell you that I have seen Steptoe a couple of times up at the local shops. I didn't speak to him, as I dodges out of the way!!! He has a mobility scooter now and I bet he is deadly with it :-D :-D :-D

I was queuing just by the open doorway of the bakers and he was stood right behind me. I wouldn't have realised except that he was his usual foul self and was mouthing off to the assistants (in jest!) telling them to hurry up as he was starving. As soon as I heard the voice I knew and I just turned sideways and walked straight out. I saw him again last week going in for his pie or whatever he was wanting, so I went straight into the hairdressers and called at the bakers when I came out. Odds on I see him again tomorrow, but I will duck and dive again. He didn't even recognise me :-D :-D :-D

Very true but the 2 girls are very sensible and understand Mum's health problems which helps.

That will get worse as they get older and start going out mixing with friends more, LG :-0 :-0

Unfortunately H has to be careful because of the treatment she has to have :-(. It is not easy to avoid colds etc when you have 3 kids in the house

YG Report 11 Nov 2021 20:59

My d.i.l is the same, ZZzzz, and also feels the cold so the central heating is on full blast :-0 They have always got colds or chest infections, although she tends to be a bit of a hypochondriac anyway, like her mother!

Oh ok thanks YG.
My mother in law house was alway spotless, I'm sure she had OCD before it known as it is now, which in my opinion is why he has low tolerance to colds etc. I have to say that he doesn't go round feeling sorry for himself and expecting sympathy though, not that he would get any anyway.

:-D :-D :-D My Dad always said I had the constitution of a horse and it has proved right over all my years

ZZzzz, you will need a Covid pass that you can get by registering either with the NHS. Gov.uk give some useful advice, but don't get it too early as they expire every month, so you have to download a new one each time.

Don't speak too soon, LG and tempt providence :-D :-D

Evening our vacination centre gave me a seperate card for my booster. Our next visit norf will probably be at the unmentinable season and seeing as H has immunity problems we have done all we can to limit the chance of her getting infected

Evening everyone :-)

We have all been jabbed now :-) I;m not sure whether I would say we are as safe as houses, as we can still pass it on or get the virus, but at least the vaccination reduces the impact if we do.

I am just starting to be a bit concerned about ongoing boosters. They need to be better organised than this one, although my gp surgery was really on the ball with it, but there seem to problems for a lot of people.

The other concern, and there is absolutely nothing definite about it, is Javid saying that he would, if necessary, consider following France in only allowing over 65s to travel, eat in restaurants and go to venues with significant crowds if they can prove they have had their booster. That is a farce, as the government aren't able to add the booster to your NHS app Covid pass . I have nothing to prove that I have had it as my card wasn't given back to me as far as I can remember!

Me neither LG, and I shouldn't really say this but I will, they shouldn't be in a hospital taking up beds etc through their own selfishness.

Morning, I have no sympathy at all for the anti jabbers that catch Covid. :-| :-|.
