We remembered when we were walking round a lake and the heavens opened up we were soaked in seconds, we said to someone coming towards us that it might ran later, he didn't see the funny side, no sense of humour some people.

We had all the workshop tools here as well as his own so there were loads. A lot have gone to family members. The really big equipment were sold to help with outstanding business bills that needed to be paid before the workshop was sold.

Hubby inherited a lot from his Dad and Granddad so had 2 or 3 of the same tools. he isn't like me, I either throw things away or donate to charity.

I have got the JCB out again for a while. Oh has mainly been putting tools he wants to keep in the proper tool chest and putting unwanted ones in a box ready to part with.

How lovely and yes I do know what you mean :-D :-D :-D :-D. We have been pottering about doing little tasks. OH has been tidying up a bit more of his shed and building another bench. I did some HW and then cut out some new floors for my dolls house.

We had a different day today, friends from Kent visited and had lunch with us, we knew they would but tidied up our already tidy house, if that makes sense. :-D

I had 2 ' Aunts' who to me as a child just lived in the same house. I suddenly twigged when I was about 15. They never made it obvious and kept it all private which was why I never twigged :-D

He was not judgemental and visited him often but some other family didn't approve of him or my Dad visiting him, but as he said he is still my Uncle.
I don't judge people either.

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D. I do that all the time in our Archive room. I get very distracted if I delve into the photo albums in particular :-0

ZZzzz Report 23 Aug 2022 20:29

The trouble with me is a get side tracked when I'm looking for 1 person and find another that is connected to me and go down that track instead of staying with the one I went there for. :-|

I used the record office to track down one of OH's ancestors who was born in the Union Workhouse in the early 1800s. Our Society also had a fascinating tour of their extensive Archive. I would have spent hours and hours in there if I could have :-D :-D. They covered all the jobs they do including recording, photographing and preserving items.

The other way round here and they the records office found a burial plot that my grandfather had bought but I don't know when or if it was a double or single plot.
