What will be, will be, LG!! Let's hope at some point, prices come back down when the interest rates return to normal levels!

You should see me now, Fishermans socks, welsh wool blanket round my legs, long fleece nightdress and dressing gown, very elegant.... not.

We just cut back on other things that are not vital and it is now cheaper without our lodgers :-D :-D

I am hoping that we don't get too much more of this. I honestly don't know how pensioners are coping that just have the basic pension, even with the help given.

I don't use the radiator in the kitchen even though it is north facing as I am usually cooking when I'm in there. The bathroom and craft room are both North facing too but being quite small they don't take long to heat up. The lounge and our bedroom face south and are in the sun (when it is out) all day.

I am sitting still most of the day which doesn't help, LG and although the bedroom benefits from full sun from lunchtime onwards, the lounge is recessed, so doesn't get the same advantage. The kitchen is north east facing and the radiator is too small for the size of the room as they only had the option of one wall to fit it on when they did all the works a few years ago. It used to have a larger radiator, but they had to take that out to build in the cupboards and worktops. It never gets above 13-14 degrees even when the heating is on, unless I am cooking.

Evening everyone :-)

I'm fed up of this cold weather! I have received my half year review and the last really cold spell in December cost me a fortune.

I have tried to cope with the heating only on twice today, early morning and evening, but had to give in and put it on two hours earlier tonight and am still trying to thaw out with a fleece and hot water bottle :-| :-|

Evening both. Maz our heating cut in during the night we had it turned down to 10 so it must have been extra cold. Our house like yours is very well insulated and cosy so that was very unusual.

Zzzzz we will be doing the same tomorrow :-D

ZZzzz Report 18 Jan 2023 17:36

Back now, the run is mostly on the main roads that are gritted so no problems. I am however pleased to be home and in the warm. :-D

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 18 Jan 2023 15:21

I hope you took care out there, it is still cold but the bit of sun we had melted the frost from the field behind us.
