Morning all.

I'm trying to force myself to go to the gym - but I'm not having much luck!

Here we go again.

The Misadventures of AuntyS or Just How Stupid Can one person Be.

In the saltmines we have a copier, it sends faxes as well as copies.
I sent a fax. Walked away when I'd finished as you do when you are busy. About 20 minutes later went back to the machine and it was copying. Had a quick conversation with another person who was also waiting, decided to go back to my office down the passway a bit.
About an hour later went back to the copier to find on the table next to the copier two neat piles of paper.

And what was it.

It was my fax. All two pages of it. Copied and copied and copied and copied over and over again.

I reckon it must have copied the fax number in copies instead of sending it as a fax. Ooooooh about 3 or 4 reams of paper.

No one stopped it, no one questionned it, no one said, "hey who's the daft idiot who's doing all this copying.

Anyone need some scrap paper. I have lots and lots and lots.

Well I do recycle some of my old paperwork, makes handy scribble paper for family history notes. But this is ridiculous!!

I have every sympathy for you Aunty!! Confounded machines!! Our old printer/copier used to convert the text to gobbledigook sometimes and would attempt to print off hundreds of pages with just a couple of lines of print on each one. We had a huge pile and used it up by inserting it upside down in the fax machine so that the printed fax came out on the clean side!! Being a charity, every penny counts lol!!

AuntySherlock Report 15 Feb 2010 21:56

I know I am more senior than you young 'uns, but do you find your eyes become blurry if you read or use the computer for too long.

I need to rest mine every so often.

And re the paper, yes senior's moment definitely describes it.

Paper fascinators, that might be OK until it rains. I thought papier mache, aeroplanes and toilet paper.
