I've just finished 'Heart and Soul' by Maeve Binchy. i do like her books... she is a very Irish writer somehow ( lol yes i know she IS Irish) something about the way the sentences flow I think ?

She is very very good at characterization, and making you care what happens to the characters ... and there always seems a 'rightness' to how things work out...wish I had her ability to just 'tell a good tale'. :))

Its not one I would buy Muffs but it was sort of,

I like Dean Koontz but I haven't read any by him in ages.

I can also recommend James Patterson and Tess Gerritson if you like the crime/thriller type of books.

I like historical novels......I'll keep an eye open for that.

My MIL used to read Dean Koontz...I tried one once but it scared me witless Jean lol xx

Just finished CJ Sansoms latest novel 'Sovereign' set in the reign of Henry VIII. Cracking read.

My powers of concentration aren't what they used to be so I'm into easy reads.

Working my way through Patricia Cornwell at the moment but got a bit bored and managed to pick up the latest Dean Koontz yesterday at my local library so will read that next :)

Im reading " shappy Tiger" by Howard Springs.
Fantastic Book,highly recommend.

I've read a Mark Haddon.......something along the lines of Curious incident of a dog at night time.....it was really good.

I'll have a look on Amazon at the others you mention.....the Judges Daughter rings a bell for some reason........ xx

At the moment im trying to read Shadows of the work house by Jennifer Worth, but can't get into it. So will take it on holiday a give it another go. I really want to read Call the Midwife by the same author but cant get hold of it as yet.

Worth a try, Muffy - the film is really faithful to the book and it's an easy read.

Hello Muffy, this is just my subject.
At the Moment I am reading The Judges Daughter by Ruth Hamilton and its really good.
My favorite books are Agatha Raisin Books by M.C Beeton, but its best to read them in order.
Two other books which I read recently and I would recommend to anyone are
A Spot of Bother by Mark Haddon, and the best book of all is
Edward Trencoms Nose by Giles Milton.
If you do read any of these then I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

I loved the film Uggers but I've never got round to reading the book...It puts me off if I see the film first.

I've never read Ruth Rendell Fiona....
