i write in my bible, but thats ok, don't see the need to write in it with swear words, thats not art, can you imagine if that was done to the koran, there would be an uproar, shame on us really

I wondered, how an open bible with an invitation to add comments could be construed as "art" anyway:

In my opinion it was invitation to "deface" something - I suppose they could have put a wall up and provided spray paint but hey, that wouldnt have caused so much publicity!

Appalling behaviour, but a sign of the times I think.

In Glasgow at an art gallery, protests took place as people were allowed to write on the Bible, not all bad comments but some swearing and rude comments occurred.
What do you feel, should that have been allowed ? What do Christians and other faiths feel if it had been their holy works.
