Sylvia - As Linda said, it's still very warm here during the day, but cold in the early morning, and evenings. I have resisted putting the heating on so far, and am determined not to do so until October.
This house was empty for nearly three months earlier this year, so I'm having a cheap year fuel wise.

My brother was busy lopping the overgrown shrubs today - now I can see more sky.

Hello Sylvia, it is oddly warm here during the day, but cold at night. I have started closing all the curtains and have had the heating on. We go away on Tuesday for a last week of warm sun, but it is bound to be colder once we get back

we're into Fall here ................


Summer officially ended at 7:29 pm (precisely!!) on Monday evening


the first Pacific storm of the Fall season arrived on Tuesday afternoon :-(


I had to go and find out a lightweight winter turtleneck sweater on Wednesday ........... I think I'll be doing the change over from summer to winter clothes this weekend :-(


Although, we might have a short return to warmer temperatures over the weekend ...... so I'll keep a couple of summer tops available



We still have not turned the heating on ................. although we have the duvet on the bed instead of the lightweight blanket we use in summer

Only an hour to go before the new series of Strictly Come Dancing starts. I have my posh frock on, I hope you have your sequinned shirt on Tec

Well, I am shattered, I have battled on and finished all the extra cleaning. It is amazing that the despite the fact that the White gloss doors look perfectly clean, that the water gets so dirty when you rub them down.

Anyway they are all done,plus all the door frames, skirting boards and windows. I have also washed down all the tiles in the bathrooms. Plus I have done the normal dusting and cleaning, OH hoovered the floors and is now cutting the grass.

I still want to do the taps and plug holes with a tooth brush, but they will have to wait.

I haven't felt very well for a few days, I feel hot and bothered and have horrible acid reflux. I went to see the pharmacist who tells me that it is a bug which is going round the town. I got some Gaviscon and that has helped. A couple of nights ago, I felt terrible during the night with really strong acid burning, something which I haven't really had before. I felt so sorry for little Esme who must feel like that all of the time

I feel better today,so will take it easy now I have the house back to how I want it. While I was away in London,I only did the normal housework on a weekend,so it is good to catch up

Don't be silly Tec, it is Friday, so no meat. You will have to do with fish in parsley sauce, potato wedges, broccoli and carrots, Apple pie and custard
