I hope that you pay attention Sue, or Joel will get cross with you :-D

I don't have any little grand children, so am clueless about electronic games - which is just as well :-D

Goodnight Linda - sweet dreams <3

The tunnels, and under passes are not good places Sue, best avoided :-0

The family has come back from their holiday and are visiting today. Joel wants to show me how to play the new Angry Birds game. They weren't allowed electronic games on their holiday so he's only just found it :-D

Goodnight to both of you

Sleep well Linda - don't forget to pack half and half,

remember my grand daughters case ended up in New York - she was in Spain :-D :-D

Nothing wrong with a cardboard box in the doorway - it's the tunnels you need to stay away from. Sadly - an experience I won't forget is seeing what we thought was a bundle of rags until the bundle turned over and yelled at us. We've never moved so fast :-0

Tecwyn Report 28 Sep 2014 23:39

I'll probably end up on a park bench :-D

I am tired as well, so I had better go to sleep.

Are you doing anything nice today Sue?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 28 Sep 2014 23:37

I hope you can do better than a cardboard box in a doorway

Tecwyn Report 28 Sep 2014 23:36

Sue I just realised you meant the Tower of London :-D

it is late at night here - the old man's tired :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 28 Sep 2014 23:34

Can't afford to stay at the Ritz,

or the Savoy,

or The Park Lane Hotel,

or Browns :-D

Where do you think the Duchess got all her diamonds from Sue :-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 28 Sep 2014 23:33

What do you mean? what did I do,

apart from growling at the waiter in the dining room because I wanted a bread roll - he said there weren't any, but I could see them on other tables, when I pointed that out, he said that section was reserved for a party of American tourists :-|

I did get my bread roll :-D

There are zillions of nice hotels in London, I would have thought that you would be staying at the Ritz

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 28 Sep 2014 23:29

You stayed at the Tower :-0 :-0. What did you do, Tec :-|

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 28 Sep 2014 23:28

That sounds promising Linda, and I will get my daughter to check it out, thanks

The hotel I've stayed at is The Tower, by the river, that's nice too.

When we went to the palace we stayed at The Wesley hotel which is right next to Euston, only about 150 yards from the side entrance to the station. It was excellent, it is a social enterprise hotel, it use to be the Wesleyan conference centre, but has had a recent total overhaul into a four star hotel. The rooms were really big for London and the price was really good as well they have some specialist accessible rooms. We had dinner there one night and it was extremely good. It might be worth getting your daughter to have a look at it

Some of the old London pubs are great places Sue - very atmospheric :-D

The is a large antiques fair every day in Islington.

Tony Blair had a house there - boring :-D

We stayed in Islington at the Jury Inn last time we were there. There was a wonderful pub called the York. It was so typically London - we loved it.
