Hmm, I have never thought about you in quite the same way as the Rolling Stones Tec, have you led the same sort of debauched life???

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Dec 2014 22:55

The Rolling Stones are the same age as me :-D

I am also skinny :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Dec 2014 22:53

I am watching a Rolling Stones concert on TV. OH is grumping about how skinny they are and how he can't believe they are still alive given their lifestyle

Yes Linda - I am spending Christmas Day at the home with the Duchess, and having my dinner there.

Persie there is no other way to where the home is. Well, there is, but it's about a 50 mile detour.
The sea didn't want me when I spent my time floating around the world, so I doubt she wants me now. :-D

SueMaid Report 9 Dec 2014 22:48

Barking when someone comes to the door? :-0. No comment from me either :-|

I can only imagine how upsetting it is when the Duchess mentions coming home. Thankfully by the time you get home she may have forgotten what she said.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Dec 2014 22:48

I laughed at your idea of Tec taking another route Persie. Where he lives there is one road in either direction and that is it :-D

Tecwyn Report 9 Dec 2014 22:45

The little dog will be in to see me in the morning with Milo - they will come for their biscuit.

I am looking forward to seeing her again, she is a cute little dog.

By what I've heard, I'm glad she's come back, though it's sad that she will move on again eventually.

Persephone Report 9 Dec 2014 22:44

We don't want you to be buffeted off the road and down the cliff.. and I am sure the sea does not want you for a buffet.

Is there not a long way round when gales are that strong. I have been known to come home the long way around from the North Shore because of the gale force winds on top of the Harbour Bridge. It has tipped a truck or two over at the top thus stopping two lanes of traffic.

I think you are the sensible taking the car Linda, you can exercise your knee at home in private.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Dec 2014 22:43

At least you will be spending Christmas together Tec even if it isn't at home

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 9 Dec 2014 22:41

Hello Persie - well done Evan :-)

How his the Duchess Tec? Well I hope. I too am wondering how the little dog will do now.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Dec 2014 22:40

Sue will keep the dog until such time as she can be found a suitable home. The reason that she was rejected is that she barked if someone came to the door - no comment................

I only just made it into the home and out again.

The Duchess was a bit confused today, and talked about her life as a child and the people she knew - who apparently visit her now.

She said wouldn't it be nice if we could go home for Christmas.
Sometimes it's very difficult and upsetting to me.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Dec 2014 22:34

It is sad that the dog has had to come back again Tec , what will happen to it now?

I am glad that you got back from visiting the Duchess safely, without being blown over. How was she today?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 9 Dec 2014 22:28

Well if a bully needed sorting out, then Evan gave him a short sharp lesson - good for him. Sometimes it's the only way.
Hope the awards go well :-)

It was very wild when I was driving round the coast in the dark from visiting the Duchess.
There was a force 9 gale, and torrential rain coming horizontal over the cliff wall.
The car was being buffeted, and I had to really hang on to the steering wheel.

It looks like it will be worse than here where you are Linda tomorrow when the big wind arrives.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Dec 2014 22:19

I did drive home, OH will walk. we normally walk, but with my knee as it is we took the car. It is warmer than this afternoon when it was very cold and icy, but it is drizzly and nasty now

OH won't be bothered about the football, but Eve's father is a great Liverpool fan,so he won't be pleased

The few Thai restaurants that I have been to have all put on good meals. NZ is notorious for expensive meals with very little on the plate and little or no vegetables but the Thai restaurants give you a good plate of food. Don't usually want a dessert, where the expensive places I would but then I look at the prices of them and am not usually impressed with that either.

Maisie is acting perfectly normally, all little animals want to know what's going on. Show and tell doesn't usually work because the sound is different when they get back inside.

Tomorrow we are back up in Auckland, Evan goes to high school next year and his prize giving is tomorrow and he is apparently getting two awards. Do not know what for, he is sort of a " Joe above average" sort of a bloke, good at maths and hates writing stories but can tell them really well.

Very tolerant lad, his father has only had to attend the school once over his behaviour when he decked another child in class. Apparently the school said to the father that they had to get him in but the other child needed pulling down a peg or two with his bullying verbal behaviour in class. From all accounts Evan decided to do it in class where he could be seen to be taking action.

Hello Linda :-)

Your poor OH will not be amused that he missed the football'

Liverpool 1 Basle 1

Liverpool had a man sent off - a dubious decision by the ref the pundits agreed

Hello Linda - did you drive home? The weather sounds horrid :-(

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Dec 2014 22:10

Poor Masie :-(

I am glad that you enjoyed your meal Sue.

The film tonight is Mr Turner and is very long. Two of our team went in to watch it, i did the kiosk admin while OH caught up with some of his admin which he had missed while we were away. Once he did that, I came home, he is still there

Tecwyn Report 9 Dec 2014 22:09

Sounds like you had a lovely evening Sue :-) nice to be able to both have a drink.

Sue next door had to go back to bring the last dog she re-homed back here.
The people have had her for six weeks, but decided that she wasn't the dog for them.
It's the first one to come back.
She is a lovely little dog, and was the one that was afraid of men, but I helped sort that out, and she was fine when she left here.
It's such a shame, and will only confuse the dog further :-0

SueMaid Report 9 Dec 2014 22:02

OH took her outside and let her see the fellows on the roof but it's the funny noises that are making her jumpy. She keeps giving little 'woofs'.

We had a lovely dinner out at a Thai restaurant. The food was good as was the wine. Our son drove us to the restaurant and we went home by taxi so we could both enjoy the wine.
