Sending flowers is a lovely idea Sue - thank you <3

As I didn't actually add to Berona's stickied thread, because I had put my thoughts on here, and as it has been suggested that a copy of that thread be sent to Berona's family, I have now copied my post onto that thread also.

I'm sure that it would be some comfort to Berona's family to see the messages on that thread and to know how much she was thought of on Genes.

Although the forecast was for gloom and doom here today, it is actually a much better day than yesterday, that was awful.
The sun is shining, though it is freezing cold, and there is a gale force wind.

The little dog that has been returned came to see me this morning with Milo for their biscuits.
What a difference to when she first saw me weeks ago, and was terrified, keeping her distance and running away.
She didn't hesitate today, came running in, and gave me such a fuss like seeing an old friend. Beside herself with glee you might say.
I hope that she has better luck next time, and someone who understands dogs will give her a loving home - she will make someone a lovely pet.
I wish I could have her, but it's not practicle now.
..
:-D My emoticons are doing strange things today.?

Well, after much struggling, and huffing and puffing, I managed to get a wheelchair onto the higher landing that leads to my bedroom.
It works perfectly.
I have ended up using the one that was at the top of the stairs that I used in the bathroom.
Have decided that I can manage the bathroom using the walker with the seat that
will be useful at the wash basin. That can now live at the top of the stairs instead of the wheelchair, and will be less of an obstruction to visitors.
So the one in the car can stay there - sorted.

Linda and Sylvia can now get off my case - until they find something else to nag me into :-)

Torrential afternoon thunderstorms remind me of Florida. Have You checked to see if anyone has built a Disney Park in your garden?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 10 Dec 2014 10:19

That's a good idea, Linda.

We are in our 10 day of afternoon thunderstorms - never seen anything like it :-(

Persephone Report 10 Dec 2014 10:17

That's a good idea Linda, I had thought that the other day, like we did with Alison but then we had a contact on GR for her so then the thought disappeared again.

I have noticed less humidity here, hot but nothing like Auckland's clamminess so far.

That would be lovely Sue, thank you. I thought that maybe we could copy the comments from the stickied thread and send them to her family at some stage as well.

I woke up several times in the night, probably because the wind was so strong outside. It is still windy this morning, but not too bad in comparison to other parts of the country

I am very happy with that thanks Sue. :-) <3

We are a chatty lot Sylvia :-)

Berona's funeral is at 10.30am on Friday which is 11.30pm on Thursday night. I am going to send some flowers on this thread's behalf if everyone is happy with that.

Hi everyone

computer was acting up this morning , but it was also a physio day so I was out for most of the day.

We are under a heavy rain warning until Thursday ........... although there was a break of several hours this afternoon between 2 systems, which meant we had sunshine!

but it is warm ................... over 14C this afternoon ...... and that is causing another problem .........................

a goodly amount of snow has fallen on the local mountains, and the ski slopes opened 10-14 days ago. Now it is all melting ................ and that, added to the ehavy rains, is creating serious worries about flooding in the communities at the base of the mountains.

Not for us, thankfully!!

Tec ............... it doesn't seem like 6 weeks since that little dog was adopted, but fancy not wanting her because she barked when someone came to the door :-S :-S

That beggars belief :-)

I am so glad to hear that the boxes have been moved up the wall, so you can get a wheelchair up there :-)

My avatar has been stolen too. Grrrr. :-|

But at least I have been able to read more than one page, for the first time in a week.

What has happened to GR? Linda is the only one on this thread with an avatar, and the emoticons are in a line down the side below this box, with 4 of them missing. :-0 At least that one was showing.

Now I am getting 'this page cant be displayed' when I try posting. But the emoticons are back in their proper place, though a different 4 are missing.

I was never a wild one Sue, lets just say the man you've met was not the man that was :-D

The cruise is still on. Can't wait to be on a ship in rough weather in a wheelchair - hilarious
