Hi Sue :-)

It was a lovely idea to send messages to Berona's family from her GR friends Sue, Thank you <3
It makes it feel as though we are all there with them in spirit :-)

Thank you Jem and Allan - those words came from the heart.

I'm sure there will be a couple of chuckles at the memories that will be brought up. I hope so.

Berona wouldn't want a 'better' partner - it was you Tec that she wanted to tango with.

The service will be starting now, I hope that her family will be able to look back fondly on her long life

Hello Linda,

Well if I can't be there, I'm glad to be here.

I have sent a message to Berona's son to let him know we will be there in spirit and that we are thinking of the family. He has picked up the message. I also received a text message to say that the flowers have been delivered to the chapel. It all seems very unreal :-(

I think Berona enjoyed her life. She loved her children, and proud of her grand children.
So pleased when her grandson inherited her old car and looked after it so well.
She had travelled, and lived and worked in London for two years as a young lady, loved that, but not our weather.
Sad that she lost her husband prematurely, but seemed to battle on, and enjoy a fulfilled life to a good age.

I hope that she will find a better dance partner in Heaven - I'm sure she will

Hello Tec - it is indeed a sad day.

Congratulations to young Evan on his award.

I always enjoy the Maori Haka.
One of the highlights of my travels was attending a Maori Hangi - a wonderful evening of singing and dancing, and other aspects of Maori culture.
They cooked a pig in a pit covered in leaves, and served it in straw baskets. It was the most succulent pork I ever enjoyed.
I think the peoples of the old Polynesia are the nicest in the world.

Sue - Today is one of the saddest days on your thread. I think of Berona as one of the nicest people I never met.
She was so wise, clever, and humorous with her sharp wit.
I feel privileged to have known her.
My thoughts are with her family today.

OH is the same - he has a luncheon today and a prawns and beer night tonight. The one tonight is for the retired men from where he worked. He said he's not really fussed about tonight so I think he possibly won't go. On Monday we have another luncheon then that's the end of our Christmas meals.
