When Drew first saw the twins he looked a bit confused and then said "not two". I wonder what August meant by interesting :-D

SueMaid Report 16 Dec 2014 21:35

Hello you two :-)

I'm also having trouble getting on GR - must be a glitch in the system.

Are you going to see the Duchess tomorrow? I wonder if she will remember that her sister visited her

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 16 Dec 2014 21:08

Probably :-D

I do have another man in reserve, the one that did the electrics on the landing. I get on very well with him. He is ordinary, and sane.
So we shall see.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 16 Dec 2014 20:56

That means he won't turn up :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 16 Dec 2014 20:53

Yes I know, I am clued up to him.

There is plenty of decorating to do in this house. He knows this, but if he is too cheeky I will look elsewhere.

He is good at decorating and I can't complain about that. Trouble is he doesn't let you know when he's coming, so you can never be prepared.
Had I have known he was definitely coming today I would have had the kitchen cleared and ready for him. I only need an hours notice, and he has my phone number.
At least I am expecting him tomorrow, so can prepare tonight.

I hope your decorator doesn't chat too long tomorrow, he is taking yhe mickey talking for so long but charging for it

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 16 Dec 2014 20:31

I appear to be having trouble with Genes tonight. As I click to change pages, I keep getting the "This Page Cannot Be Displayed" :-(

So annoying

My internet is driving me bonkers tonight, so if I keep disappearing, you will know why

The painter went about ten minutes ago, but he is coming back in the morning to give the walls a second coat.
The ceiling is done, and the walls look nice. A sort of pale primrose colour, easy on the eye.
I couldn't face anything to bright or garish first thing in the morning.

Really he is quite slow, very meticulous.
As he rates the cost by the hour, he is not silly, but in fairness he does do a good job, which is better than throwing the paint on the wall and running away.

The restaurant sounds interesting in the former church.
There is a similar place in Oswestry that we often visited for lunch when we lived near Wrexham.
That was a Christian organisation, run mainly by volunteers. The cooked meals were excellent - basic, but good, and not expensive.

Now I must find something for dinner.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 16 Dec 2014 18:24

Has the painter finished now?

We went to York today because I wanted a couple of presents. we had lunch in a lovely old church. It is decommissioned and is now a Traidcraft shop, but mainly a restaurant and coffee bar

The Christian Centre is run on a non-profit basis and runs listening and counselling services, there are lots of volunteers involved in the running, but the food id excellent home made and not very expensive. I always like to go there to support them

Good to see you back Persie,

Glad that August found his little brother "interesting" :-D
I wonder what his opinion will be in five years from now? :-D
My brother is three years younger than me. Interesting is not how I would describe him. Curious is perhaps a better description :-D

Said brother and SIL departed about half an hour ago.
The painter has been here on and off all day. Now, he is interesting, and curious :-D
as well as being barking.

No sooner had they departed than the vicar popped in for a few minutes.
I have had quite a full day.

I am glad that you are safely back Persie. I hope you managed to fit lots of cuddles in.

When my nephew was born, his toddler sister took one look at him and told her parents she didn't want him and they had to take him back :-D

We got back to Huntly about half an hour ago.. now 2.04am.. so am checking in.. and now to bed.

Will catch up tomorrow sometime when I can be bothered getting out of bed.

Stellan is a good baby and when we asked August what he thought of the baby, he said he is very interesting.
