LindainHerriotCountry Report 18 Dec 2014 22:39

Well you could go to the toy shop and spend some money :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 18 Dec 2014 22:37

Lunch in a cafe :-0 that would be spoiling them Linda. I don't spoil my grandchildren :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 18 Dec 2014 22:33

Take the children out to a park Sue and treat them to lunch in a cafe

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 18 Dec 2014 22:31

I think the children are tired - too many end of year activities.

I'm sorry your son is ill Linda - I hope he feels better soon. I'm pleased that things are progressing with your knee.

I hope that your son will feel better soon Linda,

Wonder why Aimee has taken against Maisie? she liked her before

Sounds like you need a quiet time Sue :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 18 Dec 2014 22:06

Aimee decided she doesn't like Maisie and screamed every time she went near her. Drew was ill and grumpy although he slept in the afternoon and Joel was demanding all day because "I'm bored".

All seem much happier today although I had to get tough with Aimee about Maisie.

I hope the Duchess is OK Tec, perhaps she had been doing the Charleston before you arrived.

I spoke to my son tonight, but he sounded really poorly, he had been off work today, there are some nasty bugs going around

Tecwyn Report 18 Dec 2014 21:38

So good that at last something sensible is being done about your knee Linda. Not before time. Stupid GP should have sent you there in the first place.

At last I got to visit the Duchess this afternoon. She looked quite tired, and not very well I thought, but she was mentally very sharp today, and in good spirits.
There had been a sort of tea dance, that was finishing when I got there. She apparently got to dance with someone. Very few there capable of dancing, so it must have been a visitor.
The Duchess was a very good ballroom dancer once.
I was pleased to see something actually happening there.

Milo arrives in the morning for five days with his bed, pyjamas, and toothbrush :-D
I will spend the day preparing for my weekend visitors.

Sorry I missed you as I closed down Persie. You are certainly gadding about these days
I hope Sue has had a good sleep ready for day two of grandchildren sitting

I went to the hospital this morning for my knee appointment in the degenerative knee clinic. I saw the young doctor first of all, but mercifully his English was good. He was very thorough asking me all about what had happened. I had to roll my trousers up to my knee and walk about, he also prodded my knee. Then I had to hop up on the table while he pulled my leg about. I thought that I had misheard when he said "I am going to sit on your feet", but he did and pulled my leg about.

He then went off to look at the xrays and returned with the consultant. The consultant complimented me on the state of my knees for my age. He said that they don't normally do MRI scans on over fifties, but that because my knees were good and because it was an accident not degenerative, they will do a scan. I am also going to get some physio.

She would probably prefer that to looking after the grandchildren

We all like Kayli or is it Kaylie.. can't remember but the dog can't spell and they both sound the same.. she loves all people.. chap turned up at daughter's place to do some sort of survey and as it was going to take some time he was invited in.
One little dog followed him, so she got shut in their other lounge with Anya and Evan to watch TV.

Then a mistake happened Evan came out and did not shut the door behind him. Chap was sitting on the couch in the open plan family, dining kitchen area and Kaylie ran around the island bench and headed towards the couch which she can now jump up on (couldn't before) and leapt on the poor bloke and gave him one of her kisses.

She is adorable and once you have allowed her to welcome you, she will snuggle down beside you. She would like Shepherd's pie as well but the wine could make her rather wobbly. But I would be okay, I like a bit of wine in my meals.

Have just decided not to make a trifle (with port in it) for this year but will do a Yuletide chocolate log instead. The grandies don't do trifle but am pretty sure anything chocolate will go down well.

Tomorrow we are up in Auckland to do all sorts, so may be eating dinner "on the road again" ... The staff at the Autobahn meal place know us quite well now.. I even get an extra marshmallow with my hot chocolate, and himself got an extra little jug of gravy with his meal the other night. :-) :-) :-)

Yes you can both pop over anytime :-D

Sue could catch a flight, stay the day, and catch a flight back - she'd be hardly missed :-D

We will have to visit again to give our approval, Sue will just pop over :-)

The children are making her run around the garden :-D

Well I've put my kitchen back together. The painter is very tidy, he doesn't get paint everywhere, except on the walls
