Hello Linda,

I went to see the Duchess yesterday.
My daughter will be here tomorrow, and she will visit her then.

My daughter buys gifts for us which cost far too much , which is silly, we would be far happier with just smaller bits and pieces.

We don't have any grapes Tec :-0. Did you manage to see the Duchess today

Tecwyn Report 19 Dec 2014 21:51

I only give presents to my daughter, SIL, and give money to grand daughter. I wouldn't know what to buy her, and she's always glad of the money.

I have got a little gift for the Duchess, so difficult to know what to give her now.

Whatever I have bought has been done on the internet.

Persie, Should I be looking to rent a property in Auckland I should like you to be my landlord :-D

Linda sorry that your knee is painful today - you will have to rest on the chaise lounge having OH pass the peeled grapes :-D

My present giving days are limited now to the boy grandchildren and my friend and her three young children.

The two girls only want money because Nana who used to get everything right with all their presents when they were young does not do expensive presents or they want clothing that they alone can only choose so money money money is given out..

My daughters and son-in-laws get a large cheque.. used to give smaller cheques plus a present or two for them but last year we abandoned that idea. Do not buy youngest SIL much he is so fussy even his wife can't get it right, the older one is always happy with whatever is given.

And we don't want presents though my friend does give us some and now Maia is working (part time to fit in with Uni) she got rather carried away with gifts for us last Christmas. :-S

Yeah, I have wrapped all of the presents, although our new pact of mainly no adult presents has drastically cut the number down.

My knee is very swollen and sore today after the mauling the doctor gave me yesterday. I thought doctors were supposed to make you better :-|

Have been to Auckland and we also visited all our tenants, to give them their Christmas supermarket vouchers.. only one lot were not home so we left that with our property manager to pass on.

We also had to meet up with a chap to collect a new spray arm for the dishwasher at our (sold) house.. the rubber gasket came off about two weeks before we went to sale. We took that around to the house.. the chap that bought it has tenants in there but no one was home. OH left it on a table on the back deck and told them might be best to just fit the rubber gasket as the spray arm could break. We were told they break easily if not fitted correctly but you have to buy the whole thing just to get a bit of rubber gasket. New swear words "perishing gasket"

Hope Aimee and Maisie have a girlie bonding session and improve their relationship. She is a lovely dog Sue and I do like the photo of you with her.
