Amanda2003 Report 20 Dec 2014 16:19

Hello everyone ,

I am just flying in to say my daughter ( Rachael ) had her baby girl this morning ( 4.57am ) , she weighs in at 6lb 14ozs and is perfectly beautiful . Poppy Rose ( named Poppy in honour of the hundred year anniversery and because she liked the name :) )
Her husband and MIL where the birth partners , I was very proud of my girl for allowing her MIL the chance to see a Grandchild come into the world ( her MIL is the mother of four sons ) .
Poppy shares her birthday with my eldest brother :-D
I'll try and catch up later but am feeling whacked out as we had a couple of false starts earlier this week ......lol
Hope everyone is getting on okay xx

I am sorry you are having computer problems Huia ,it is so frustrating.

Sue had a fainting episode because she didn't drink enough as well. I hope that it is just that for you as well, but as Persie says, best get it checked out

It is a cold but sunny morning here,so we are off to the market square to get the shopping

Hope you have a good computer person shop to go to.. My OH likes the chap here in Huntly.

I have had great trouble over the last few weeks with GR and the NZ Herald Online. They usually only display things down the side, and I keep getting This page cant be displayed if I click on anything. As for looking at other pages on here, forget it. My eyes and head wont stand it. I will have to take it to my IT specialists after Christmas or New Year, whenever they are open.

I am also cracking up. I think it is the heat making me dehydrated. I went into the garden part of the Mitre 10 shop and suddenly the whole place was whirling around me and I landed on the floor. Now I am drinking gallons of water to try to avoid any more episodes like that.

Oh dear Persie, you will have to join me in sitting with your ankle up as well

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Dec 2014 22:37

I believe you Linda - really I do :-)

That would have pleased the Welsh ex-pats Persie :-D Da iawn.

My brother's OH rents out several property's in her area. There has been a huge influx of Polish immigrants into the area, and some of her tenants are Polish. All have turned out to be good tenants, taking care of the property.

I have just made coffee Linda, so your welcome to some..

I spilt a bit over the top of my cup when carrying it to my laptop table and it landed on my ankle.. I was very brave.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 19 Dec 2014 22:29

I have only had one coffee since then :-|

We knew the area and we also knew that there is a certain amount of risk with tenants in the area.

One group are Muslim and they keep the place so clean and tidy.. and we knew when we went around to give them their voucher not to say Merry Christmas.. Abdul was so pleased to see us and he wished us Merry Christmas and shook our hands. He has adopted a few kiwi mannerisms since the family moved to NZ. He said at one stage "no worries."

Tec when we went to Evan's prize giving the program had on the back page Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in 18 different languages..including

Nadolig llawen a blwyddyn newydd dda

Where we used to live, a young couple rented the house next door, a modern four bedroomed detached.
One day the landlord turned up to find they had done a moonlight flit - taking the entire newly fitted kitchen with them - everything including cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge.

Iy must be so hard when you have tenants who don't look after your property Persie

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Dec 2014 22:10

You may have had only one with dinner - but how many since? :-D

Persie when the messy people move out, I'll move in and fix it all up. I'm not messy, well not much.

We have grapes and strawberries in our fridge.

Trouble is we have not been to our properties in a while.. so we could see where one of them really needs the window sills checked and a couple of weatherboards plus a paint job.. trouble is this is the house we want to alter at the back to give them a larger bathroom etc.. Another one needs a couple of things doing.. and then there are the tenants that have stuff all over the back of their place.. I asked him about all the timber lying in the garden along the back of the house and that is for sending to the Islands. They have finally got rid of an old fridge and other rubbish in their carport but down the side of their garage is the worst I have seen it with old chairs etc. They have been there a long time and are not the tidiest or cleanest of people.. they are the ones that nearly went through the shower floor.. cost a lot of money fixing up their bathroom so we are waiting till they move out before doing anything to the place.. it is brick.
