Hello Persie , you wonderfully clever lady . I shall put the suggestion of RoseAnn to my daughter immediatly :)

Linda , I sometimes wonder what it would be like to just run away from it all but I am doomed ( or blessed ? ) to be like the little " his masters dog " symbol .

Daughter has just phoned to say she is feeling well ( but very tired ) , she knows me so well that she needs to put my old mind at rest so I will go to bed and Sleep :-)

Night night dear ones <3

Yes a friend of mine called one of her daughters Elain. Poor Elain has gone through life telling people there is no e on the end... She is old enough now to think it's funny.

My two don't have middle names

I am off to bed now, so enjoy your sunny down under days

SueMaid Report 20 Dec 2014 23:11

People often think that Drew's is short for Andrew - I don't know how many times my daughter has had to correct people. Also he and Joel don't have middle names and some people find that odd.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Dec 2014 23:02

I suppose you just have to go with what people say Persie. It is the odd spellings which get me. One friend is called Shirly only because her father didn't realise it was supposed to be spelt Shirley. She has had to spend her whole life correcting her name when people write the correct version down

Maybe make Rose Ann one word.

Well done Amanda I do like the name Poppy apart from it being a fitting tribute.

When I did Birth Registrations, people used to come up with all sorts of names for their babies and when I liked the baby's name I would say so but if I thought it was funny or did not like the name at all, I would become Ms Efficiency and be very polite... It was hard not to laugh a few times, when the first name put with the surname was just not meant to be.

I will miss our beach cafés, one Auckland suburb is just all restaurants and a movie theatre along the beach front road.. All the other shops that were there when I was small have been replaced with some amazing eateries.

:-) :-) :-)

It would be funny :-D

I would love to see Joels face if you did scream :-D

SueMaid

Of course I'll take you in Amanda - we have a nice quiet household....generally :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 20 Dec 2014 22:42

Very funny Linda :-P

I think I'm getting too old for this babysitting thing. Thankfully my daughter and SIL have time off over the summer break so not too much babysitting. Having said that - they are good kids and generally occupy themselves well but if I hear Joel say one more time "I'm bored" I'll scream :-|

You could always emigrate, Sue would take you in :-D

I agree Linda and am beginning to realise that I actually don't manage at all :-0

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Dec 2014 22:32

I don't know how you manage Amanda, little ones are lovely but only in moderation :-D

Amanda2003 Report 20 Dec 2014 22:29

Linda , I think you are probably right , I also think it's the spot they both kick her in all the time , poor dear :-(
I think the name will stand but perhaps it will get a bit lost , people with two middle names don't often use them . My son hates the fact I added Merlin into his name , he never uses it on forms ......lol
Sue , your not wrong about Christmas and to much excitement , next time you lot are getting to whoopie mad , think of me , and grin :-S :-| :-0 :-D :-D :-D :-P :-\ :-)
I'm getting the full spectum on a daily basis <3
I'm pleased to hear you managed to catch up with your son , it is daft isn't it , that folk that live under the same roof see the least of each other .

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Dec 2014 22:25

You are too old to be so excited Sue :-D

Best not to rock the boat Amanda.

We went out for breakfast with our son yesterday. The cafe is down by the beach. It's the first time in awhile that the three of us have had chance to sit and chat together as we have all been in and out of the house at different times.

The children will be over again on Tuesday and Wednesday. We have things planned for them to keep them occupied. Too much excitement over Christmas I think :-(

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Dec 2014 22:14

Oops Amanda, those initials would be unfortunate if they went with them.

I hope your other daughter is OK,probably just the ligaments stretching

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 20 Dec 2014 22:09

Thank you Linda and Sue :) I am , as you can imagine , very happy at the moment .
The worry however never seems to leave me these days , now Meg has a nasty pain in her massive baby bump , she has been grumberling about it for a week or so , she thinks it's a pulled muscle or some such . She had a scan yesterday and the twins are doing well , gaining weight nicely etc . I wish she could finish working but still has a few shifts to get through ( she is only doing two a week now ) and will finish in the first week of January I think ?

Poppy Rose is also ( apparently ) going to have the name Ann added in ( in memory of her G.Grandmother on her Dads side ) , a lovely touch , except the surname begins with a " T " :-0 I did point it out ( in a rather alarmed manner ) but will not mention it again as I don't want to rock the boat :-S

Huia , I hope you are feeling okay after your nasty turn , as the others have said , you ought to get yourself checked over x

Hello Sue, it is nice news that little Poppy is here

Have you recovered from your babysitting

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 20 Dec 2014 21:54

How wonderful Amanda - welcome little Poppy Rose <3 and congratulations to the family <3

Huia - please have a check up. My GP was a little concerned but all was well with me. It's worth getting it sorted for peace of mind.
