Persie I didn't know they could grow pomegranates in NZ.

I am rather partial to mangoes, but the ones you can buy here are rubbish to the ones you can buy in places like India - where you can buy a huge basket of them for about two rupees.

Hello Persie , one would have expected you to be familier with pomegranate :-D
Thank you for the suggestion reguarding the middle name , I'm happy with the compromise .

We have a visitor , so I have to go but may pop back later x

Hello Amanda - no not the Imperial, slightly less than that :-D but stuffed full of luxury goodies, and the wicker basket/hamper will be very useful.

Poppy is such a lovely name, and much in use among the upper classes, so you'd better get her reading The Tatler as soon as possible.

I haven't had a pomegranate sp since I was young, and haven't actually seen one for years - a unique taste

I have eaten a pomegranate, the agriculture section of Unitech where I worked grew them.

Poppy sounds to be very good and like that Rose-Ann is joined up.. :-) :-)

Fortnum and Masons.. we don't do as posh as that here.. some try and think they do.

Not had a pomegranate, you have had a sheltered life :-D

Of couse Tec should have the very best Linda , I'm just shocked at the very best ....lol

I suspect that Poppy hasn't realised yet that she is in the wide world .

I hope you enjoy your pomegranate , can't think if I've ever tasted one :-S

You wouldn't expect Tec to have anything but the best, surely Amanda :-D

Where really can keep chocolate without eating it,a very strange man indeed.

Little Poppy sounds as if she is being a good girl, but it is early days yet.

The wind is howling down the chimney,so I am glad not to have to go out. I am eating a pomegranate

Good evening Tec and Linda .

Out of curiosity I googled " Fortnum and Mason Hampers " , I am now in a state of flabber ghasted shock :-0 Is your hamper " the Imperial " Tec ? If so , is the food made from solid gold by any chance ? :-0
I really have lead a " country mouse " sheltered existance ......lol

Had a quick visit and a few cuddles with Poppy Rose-Ann today , she and her Mummy are both getting along very well . I'm pleased my daughter has managed to get some sleep as she looked " all in " yesterday .

No, I won't be tempted - I will be good and open the hamper on Christmas Day :-D

You know I can keep a bar chocolate for months :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 21 Dec 2014 19:21

You are allowed to be tempted and start the goodies early, I said so :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 21 Dec 2014 18:20

You are so organised, it's frightening :-D

but once your daughter and the children arrive it will be difficult to concentrate and things get forgotten.

I had to open the hamper because there are a selection of posh cheeses to go in the fridge. I've put the hamper away again so as not to be tempted.

Terribly posh to have a Fortnum & Mason's hamper - all the best people have them don't you know :-D

Daughter phoned earlier to say they are home, but the house was freezing cold.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 21 Dec 2014 18:07

A posh hamper :-D sue and I are definitely coming in that case.

I have been packing all the food bags ready to take away, I even have a bag ready in the fridge. I just need to pack my clothes now. I need to be ready because my daughter arrives tomorrow, so I won't have time after that

Yes I was thinking about the photo's - will have to practice that :-) so look forward to some very odd pictures.
"I wonder what that was supposed to be" :-D

My family have now left for Shropshire. It was so good to see them, especially grand daughter that I haven't seen since Easter.
She is off to Amsterdam for the New Year. Gets about, Toulouse last week

I have parcels to open on Christmas day :-) including a very posh hamper from Fortnum & Mason, full of exotic goodies. :-)

Very nasty weather here today, wet and very windy - yesterday was lovely sunshine.

You can take lots of photos now using your tablet and email them to people, it is very easy to do, so no excuses

Tecwyn Report 21 Dec 2014 13:13

Hello Linda,

So pleased to have my tablet back. Apparently it was the charger that was at fault, nothing wrong with the tablet.
It's been all the way back to Poland. I suspected the charger to begin with.
Now I just have to find my way around it - at least I managed to find Genes :-)

My daughter and co have gone to see the Duchess, then they will be heading home.
We all went for a lovely meal last night. A proper Christmas dinner, complete with crackers :-D
I don't need anything to eat today that's for sure :-D

I was not "allowed" to tell people if I thought the spelling was incorrect in a name. I noticed one chap had made a bit of a mess of the spelling of his son. I had to just enter it as written. He came back and saw me after he saw the birth certificate and asked was he able to change it. Yes, you can, and so did the paperwork etc for this; nowadays they would probably charge you if a name had to be altered.

I know of a few people that are named Drew.. It certainly is a name in its own right... though I think if I was Andrew I would also want to be called Drew as so many people shorten it to Andy... which is okay if you like it but too bad if you don't.
