I haven't been to Liverpool for a very long time.

I'm pleased you had a good Christmas, Persie. Your grandchildren are growing up very fast.....as they do. Aiden is 11 in March and almost as tall as his mum. He has his dad's build - long and lanky.

Hello Persie :-)

Looks like you had a good time meeting everyone :-)

Glad the chocolate roulade made it to Auckland - do you think one would make it to Wales? :-D in one piece.

Good to see your nephews and nieces growing up into nice people, and getting on.

Your chocolate log sounds good Persie

Kayli enjoyed opening her Christmas presents, and she went to the beach for the first time on Christmas day.. she got sand everywhere and was not that keen on the cold sea water, she is used to warm baths. It was also her first time riding in her new car seat where she can stick her head out the window as dogs tend to do.

I a pretty good maker of chocolate logs so this time instead I made a chocolate roulade and took it up to Auckland for part of our dessert last night. It is a lot lighter than eating cake. I mainly made it because of Anya having gluten free (tho I do have gluten free flour).. OH was amazed that it did not have any flour in it at all. Does use 6 eggs though so now we are down to one egg today.. better not fight over it..

We had our dinner up there at about six but we waited till my SIL picked up Maia from work before we had our dessert. She has been working very long hours, one day from 7.30am - 9.30pm.. I have to admire her cause a shop assistant does not earn the most wonderful of wages. She was working for one of those "Bling" stores and did very well at it but they could not give her enough hours, though did send her all over the place to manage various stores when people were absent. She reckons the clientele in clothing shops are not nearly as pleasant to the staff. At least she manages to get employment during the hols from Uni.. she works weekends during the year. Some are not so lucky. OH was saying you can tell by the way she walks etc how confident she is in herself and I swear she is getting more attractive every time I see her. :-)

Evan looked smart in his shorts and T.. and was pleased to get money as well. He is growing so tall, at 13 he is taller than both his sisters and of course everyone is taller than his mum.

Linda I have lost track of where you are?

LindainHerriotCountry Report 26 Dec 2014 22:06

We go home in the morning Sue, so I am hoping the roads are OK as it has been snowing for most of the evening

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 26 Dec 2014 22:04

Yes Sue - interesting :-(

We had torrential rain this morning, but it turned to snow as it travelled East. Many areas inland have had snow. 24 hours too late, many people lay bets that it will snow on Christmas Day - so the bookies would have been sweating :-D

Lunch certainly sounded different Tec, but at least you were together

When do you get back home, Linda?

Hello Sue, I am glad you enjoyed your day

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 26 Dec 2014 21:58

Sounds...err....interesting Tec :-D. I'm glad you had a good visit with the Duchess.

We had a quiet Boxing Day. We went to the fish market and bought some prawns and had those with salad and some leftover ham. Very nice.

The weather hasn't been good although the sun is out in the morning. We had a cracking thunderstorm on Christmas Day afternoon but we were able to have lunch outside before it came our way. Yesterday it was cool and wet and looks the same for today.

I hope you enjoyed Christmas Persie and Jem <3

Glad to see that you both had a nice Christmas. :-)

I spent from 11a, till 4pm with the Duchess, and did what I could to make it a special day for her.

Sat at a table for lunch with four old ladies, and one old gent. He fell asleep and didn't touch his dinner. His top false teeth fell out into his dinner.
The old ladies never spoke a word throughout, so total silence. No one speaks to each other there - so it was very festive :-0

Never mind, we went to the Duchess's room after, and she liked her presents. :-)

Hello you two :-)

We had a very nice Christmas - a lovely lunch cooked by my SIL and great company.

Did you have a good day with the Duchess, Tec?

Nice lunch Linda?

Luckily the bedrooms of both flats are on the opposite side from the lounges,so I don't think we will hear them

Did you have a nice day yesterday?
