OK I'll admit to shouting and swearing second time round, but as both birthing rooms were occupied and I had gone into second stage and was told to hold on......well, have you tried NOT pushing in second stage??? Yeah I swore, with my hubby trying to get the gas and air on my face lol |

I had pethidine with my first and was so spaced out, also had gas and air which made me sick, they took baby and I didn't see her for a couple of hours as she was in the nursery (we didn't have babies with us in those days). They left it too late for pethidine the second time and I refused gas and air so felt wonderful and alert afterwards, had no stitches either time. |

I had nothing with my 3rd (and final) baby, no pain relief at all pmsl. That wasnt planned, but the staff didnt believe I was in labour, they thought I was being a drama queen. I was standing up til the last 15 mins lol. |
