We're all forgetting that he has always apologised to the family of the dead man. He may not have shown remorse for his part in the robbery, but neither did the others...but like the others he has said he is sorry for the mans death.

There's no way he could express remorse now anyway, he can't talk, can't even feed himself. Let his family have him for his final days.

And if you want to sound heartless, remember if he dies in prison, the tax payer foots the funeral bill...as well has his remaining time until he dies.

He'll probably be dead anyway before I make up my mind. I can't even decide what to have for breakfast in the morning.

I think maybe for his family he could be let out to die,BUT he sounded proud of what he did and feels no remorse ,so I don't really know what I think. If he was released and the family pay for his care FINE.I know he is old and very ill ,but I am torn between letting him go and letting him stay.

Mills died of leukaemia.
and , this is not a disease
that is caused by a blow to the head, nor by stress.

so biggs killed nobody
nor has it ever been established who hit mills

its a dam waste of tax payers money

I liked "Going loco down in Acupulco" - it's one of my favourites.

As regards Ronnie Biggs - I dont give a monkey's where he dies - just like he didnt give a monkey's that someones dad/son/father/ died at the time of the Great Train Robbery.

He did the crime, some one died because of it, he escaped doing the time, and proceeded to take the pee out of our Country, living the good life .why did we bother to get him back? he should have been left with his family where he was in Brazil,**M**.

To be honest I don't care one way or t'other.

He'll be living at the taxpayers expense wherever he is I expect.

He's not even IN prison, he's at the Norfolk and Norwich hospital, his son is with him now.

I agree Lynda, it is a political call. Repentant or not, he's no threat now, he can't even feed himself, can't speak, can't walk.

Leave him there.

He is doing the sentence for the crime committed. OK, they know he is probably dying but there must be plenty of prisoners who die without much warning and they don't get to spend time with their families before they go. Why should it be any different for him?
