Oh that Lynda's a grumpy so and so isn't she? Well I'll have a go then.

*People who join organisations, don't do anything and then come to open meetings and knock everything people do.
*People who've been asked to do a job and then make all sorts of excuses as to why it hasn't been done.
*People who lie.
*People who are so patriotic that they won't see anything good about anywhere else in the world.
*Grumpy people who put up enormous lists of things they don't like:))
*People who stereotype other people.

And some more...

People who take up more than one space in a car park because they can't park properly (although this is quite normal in the Middle East, I just cannot accept it in the UK because we have to learn to drive and pass a test, so we should know better!).

Ooh Karen now--- People who drive past us on wrong side of road to get in the disabled parking space we are clearly waiting to pull into! then they get out and WALK or RUN into the chip shop!

Yep happened to us a couple of weeks ago. Still boiling inside.

Folks in supermarkets who MUST have a conversation in mid-aisle - complete with trolleys - and block people (ie me!) who are in a hurry at lunchtime.

OAPs with bus passes (they know that they can't travel free (ie paid for by me) before 9.30) who say things like "can I use my pass yet?". No - it's 8.45 and you know you can't. Don't worry about holding me up. I'm only off to work to pay my taxes to pay for your ***** pass.

Hi Lynda - only four years to go myself.

And when I get there, the luxury of not having to start off anywhere until 9.30 will be so very welcome!

Plus - day in, day out, - they get on the bus with their shopping-trolleys-on-wheels. And take up two seats on the bus. One for themselves and another for their trollleys. Bear in mind that neither seat has been paid for.

Must be good, eh?

Dear All

Hello, my rants are:

1. Bus drivers who barely let you get on the bus, then accelerate
and people are thrown all over the place.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Staff who say "The computer's not working - Can you ring back later"?
WHAT! After waiting in a queue for ********* 20 minutes?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. GPs/Hospital Doctors: " I can't seem to find the results of your tests".
Really, where are they then?
Do you think people go to hospital for fun?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. Being patronised by any clergy at a church.

Recently, the local church minister told the parishoners that giving to the church should be the number one priority in their lives, even in times of financial hardship.

Suffice to say, this made people very angry.

Best wishes and happy ranting to all.

Dear All

Hello again.

Men who do not give up their bus seats
for heavily pregnant ladies.

Best wishes

suzian Report 24 Jun 2009 00:28

Building on that, Elizabeth

There used to be a sign on buses saying something along the lines of "children, who are travelling at half fare, are expected to give up their seats while adult passengers are travelling"

No more - it's not just a case of first come, first served. I've lost count of the times when passengers take the outside seat, whilst their bags (not their chilren, note)take the inside seat. Then - and I have to say, they're mostly middle aged women - they have the cheek to glare at you if you ask them to move along.

Bring back the age of courtesy!

Dear Suzian

Hello,

Yes I totally agree.

COURTESY!
Nowadays most people don't know what it means.

At Christmas, I saw moving Argos bags getting on buses.
Naturally, the bags needed TWO seats!

When I was a kid, we were made to give up our seats.
Now the kids sit in them and the parents do not tell them to move.

Even worse, I have seen several men on a bus who sat whilst a pregnant lady stood. It was a woman who eventually give her a seat.

Oh, I am ranting a bit!
Sorry!

Best wishes
xx

Jean Joy Report 24 Jun 2009 08:16

Suzian,I worked for 40 years so I paid for my own bus pass, not that I use it.
All OAP have earned and worked for there own bus passes from the TAX THEY HAVE paid, they should be able to use it when they want to .The majority of OAP are still paying TAX on there pensions even though
they have worked hard all there life.
