Congratulations to you and your hubby Ann,

May you both have many many years ahead of love and happiness.

23rd June 1956 is nearly a life time to me as I was born in 1953 and awaiting my 3rd birthday, it is also two days shy of the birth of my brother Patrick who will be 53 on June 25.

How lovely Ann, I wish you many more happy years together.

Mary, mine was a meeting in September, the 14th in 1996, at a friend's wedding like you Gwyn, but I wish with all my heart I had not attended the wedding lol. My friend married my o.h.'s stepbrother but they are divorced now, the marriage only lasted a few years but she can't get rid of him, he is still living in her home as he is such debt and has nowhere to go. O.h. stopped remembering a few years ago but I noticed on his calendar the date is marked this year but he wrote 'how many years?' next to the words, met Liz. I added 'too many' the other day lol

Have a lovely day, Ann and hubby.

Dear Ann, sending the best of wishes to you both, I envy the longevity of your relationship. Many years ago I read (after our marriage broke up) that so many people know how to GET married, but the percentage who know how to BE married is much lower. That was so true, that thought has weighed heavily on my mind for years, how different things may have been, had we worked harder at the little things. Funnily enough, I also remember the date of our first meeting, every year I remember when sept 22nd rolls around..
Lots of hugs and congratulations to both of you for working out the wrinkles and maintaining a long, loving relationship.

Hi Ann,

I met mine in 1956 too and I can remember every minute of that evening like it was yesterday. We were older than you, though; married in 1957 and had 34 happy years.

All the best to you and your OH. May you have many more happy years together.

Every good wish to you both for many more happy years together.

It's our 'anniverary' day soon, - we met at the wedding of mutual friends. I sometimes wonder how life would have worked out, if I hadn't attended that wedding.....

I hope you have a lovely day tomorrow.
Are you celebrating?

That is so lovely to hear Ann. I sometimes think some people get married just for the glory of the wedding day, without paying too much attention to the future years.

Marriage is sometimes hard work, so it is wonderful to see when some couples like yourselves are still so committed and still so in love.

Wishing you both lots of love, luck and happiness for your future.
