Thanks Shims.......she has what I had on my birthday I think bless her. She enjoyed her dinner ......even though my roasties didn't crisp up as well as they usually do ;0(

May is my favourite month of the year...it can be winter spring and summer all in one week, but the trees look gorgeous with their new leaves, and the bluebells in the woods.

Well we had lovely day, went for 3 and 1/2 mile walk round the Grand Union Canal with 4 dogs now all tired out, stopped at pub had drink some mussels in garlic and white wine, came home potted some plants,and looking forward to doing another walk next week if weather is nice.

My OH being part Welsh, wants to move back there...and I'd love to if it didn't mean leaving my kids behind. I see little enough of them as it is, if I moved that far away I don't think I'd ever get to see them and my grandkids.

It's such a beautiful place, and although I can't find any connection, it always feels like coming home when I am there.

Here, we have beautiful countryside too, but head a few miles inland and youre sitting in flat open prairie style farmed endless fields...but I love the mountains and trees.

Well worth the walk to the Llanberis falls though..it's certainly a magical place.

Ive only been to Llanberis once when my OH was working up there a few years ago, its a beautiful area. We have a painting of electric mountain in my bedroom that one of his co workers painted for me.

Think that will be another excursion on my list to take the kids this year but its a fair trek from where I am lol

One of my favourite places ever is a little waterfall in Llanberis...at the back of the houses, right along side the mountain railway, but it has very steep banks surrounding the stream, so it's like a little grotto.

I would imagine in ancient times it would have been a sacred place....

Well me day didnt go quite to plan we walked 2 miles and found out the path to the waterfall had collapsed so only got to see a few cascades but it was a lovely walk, stopped off for sunday lunch then came home and played some board games instead.

But was a lovely day still :o)

Always when time is your own, why does something crop up?

Heard a smoke alarm going off, nothing unusual in these flats, but they usually get stopped pretty quickly. Not this time, it kept going, and turns out the flat above had set fire to their cooker...dunno how but all I can smell is rubber burning..and the main lobby is full of smoke. So glad we have our own door LOL

All out now, no need for firemen...and everyone safe.

I am cooking a roast dinner this evening for my mum. ....she's feeling poorly so I'm giving her the night off lol xx
