I don't mind the new style pram/car seat multi thingy.... but what I am totally opposed to is front facing pushchairs!! A child needs to be facing towards his or her carer... I have been against them for years, but new research has proven me right... the average child has better communication skills when they can interact with their mum/dad or whoever!! They can't do that when they are facing away from you.

I had a proper coach pram for my two... with all white frilly bedding when they were tiny.

They were a god send for me when mine were babies Hayley lol.

The car seat used to click onto a pram base.....Wailing baby at 8,30.... had to.take toddler to playgroup though ......put baby in car seat......car motion would send baby to sleep....take her out still in seat when we got there....absolutely sparko....settle toddler in......then pop her back in the car still sound asleep and undisturbed.......into the cot once home as she was deep enough asleep to stay asleep....BINGO.....couple of hours peace lol.

NO WAY would I have got that without the car seat !!! xx

No, not just you - I hate it also. and I think it's so very bad for the baby to be scrunched up in a little ball.

Come back the pram! where have they gone to? you very rarely see one nowadays.

......................................................................................................

I do hate seeing new born babies squashed up in the them orrid carseat buggy contraptions....I always think of newborn babies lay on soft sheets with primary bright colours ...
