As a pint of Foster,s has just jumped up to £3 a pint

The Boars Head where I used to live was always called The Whore's Bed. Apparently it was a brothel at one time.

There was a pub here called the flying fox, but because it was a bit rough, the locals called it the flying fist

There used to be a pub in Cambridgeshire called 'Five miles from anywhere no hurry'

It was quite a nice pub too, and it really was five miles from anywhere.

My hubby always says he'd name his pubs (yes plural - not sure where he thinks the moneys coming from lol!)

to see a man about a dog
somewhere
nowhere
mind your own

he reckons they all work in answer to "where you goin?"
