	I need to stay disguised at all times nowadays, hence the beard and dark glasses, not to mention the afro wig. The poor dogs are totally confused - just the other day they were sitting next to a highland cow waiting for it to throw them a stick. It's a hard life being on a hit list. Sigh.

	crepe sole sandals, please, in the summer months. Most of us just wear smocks, to be honest. It's easier and the beer stains don't matter as much.

	yes, it's a very romantic sort of lighting. Some people call them paraffin lamps, I think.

	Going to the pub is hardly going out in public, let's face it. Sandals and shorts is one of the more conservative dress modes up here. Some people still wear flares and tank tops. Local rumour has it that someone in the village went to the big city and came back with a tattoo as well. Whatever next.
