How lovely about the young girl Daff, something to look forward to.

Wet, cold, sleet, snow (wet stuff) here today. We just had to go round to post a parcel, so while we were out went for coffee. But after lunch I have to go to the Glos Royal for a check (by my request) on my hearing aids as the tubes need changing. So that will be a wet walk to the bus and then to the hospital. Then this evening I have said I will go to the stamping class. Any other day I wouldn't mind but it is soooo cold and wet I would really rather be staying in.

Morning everyone.... well, what a miserable day!! Snow, sleet, rain... freezing cold! Brrrrr!! And I have to pop out to the surgery to put my prescription in..... I would much rather tuck myself in here for the day and forget the world!!

I scanned over 200 photos yesterday.... plus loads of negatives, and slides...... I was just finishing off the last lot at past 10, and realised that the table was different in a couple of the slides... it took me a while... had to go back through about 6 or 7 photos... I knew there wasone with the window in it, and I knew that this was the correct way around... and the table was in it,lol.... got fed up cos I couldn't see, and have abandoned the project... I have to go to Hobbycraft (there's a blow, lol) to get the correct bulb thingy for my craft lamp..... I bought the wrong one last week.

Jean I hope everything goes ok for you today... fingers crossed... and really pleased that J has the all clear for another year.... I shall send my pages in a mo, lol

Ann, that is such a shame.... did you give those crafty bits what for when you got them home??? Glad your feet have been sorted though.

I must go and brave the elements... bite the bullet etc... I really don't want to go out to play in the nasty cold and wet.........

Have a lovely day, everyone ((((((((hugs)))))))))

Daff, J had two different check ups, and he is clear for another year on both,my turn today......am I going to see your scrap pages please, always welcome I love getting pics off folks, sad isnt it , lol....better go and get ready , have a good day....

*glides onto thread and does a tap dance!

I hate having my feet done but he got rid of a corn that was bothering me this time so I am walking nicely thank you.

Not a very nice morning to have to go into town got a bit damp!! still treated myself to brunch (5 items for 99p with a hot drink) in BHS. I blame Mummo for that of course!!

Had to go to Wilkos for some envelopes and a few crafty bits fell into my basket.

Tomorrow I have a hearing aid check up at the hospital and we are forecast snow. Hope they are wrong about that!!!

Tomorrow evening I am supposed to be going to a new craft group in the church hall. Run by a stamp it up rep so all about stamping, so again I hope it doesn't snow.

Glad you had a good nights sleep Daff.

Good afternoon everyone... I have had a busy morning so far, lol.... phonecall from my brother, he is sorting out my buildings and household contents insurance for me.... and we chatted as well, which all takes up time, lolol

I slept well last night... so am ready for anything today... the list is as long as my arm... I know I'll never get even a third of it done, so will concentrate on the basics... I have cleared my craft area of all but basic tools, ready for my next page, lol.... Hubby is going to touch up the photos for me at the weekend, so need to do something else instead..... too many lovely photos to do, so I have decided to do our wedding day... looks like I have everything I need.... no visit to Hobbycraft or Dunelm required, lolol

Maz, do you have any ideas on what you would like to do? I would be lost... I have given it a lot of thought recently, and know I would never be able to go back to what I was doing before... and if I start a new job now, it would have to be one that gives me pleasure, as my last jobs were extremely hard and very emotive, but I absolutely loved them.

BC.... I slept like a log last night.... hubby says it was chucking it down here as well... never heard a thing!! I love nights like that... pure bliss!

Mau, we get foghorns here sometimes.... when I was a child, the boy next door told me it was the devil come to take all the naughty souls to Hell.... he assured me that I would have to die, first, lol... I was petrified! It was in the days of smog , as well.....so seemed to happen a lot. I still can't help a little frisson of dread when I hear one, even now I am all growed up and sensible (shush, Ann, we can pretend, lolol ;¬))

Jean, if you haven't fed it yet, sprinkle some on it now... it is beginning to set the buds, so will love you for the extra food. I think it is an April/May flowerer. My May flowerer is only just beginning, but it looks like it has at last settled into it's spot, and is thriving! Loads of buds this year. And last year it was on it's last legs, so I am thrilled to bits.. we bought it for our 30th wedding Anniversary, so I would have been upset if it had died.

Have a lovely day out... has J had his check up yet?

*wonders if Ann will float onto thread like she is wafted in on a cloud*...... I hate having my feet done.... but love it once they have been done...

Off now too wander around the boards..... have a good day all, in spite of the grim weather.

Love

Jac I am sorry to hear that your brother is so poorly, I hope he will soon respond to treatment and feel a lot better. Will send him some positive thoughts of course.

And pleased to hear about the return of peanuts, bet his owner was overjoyed. wonder why the woman didn't take him to a vet immediately, at least he was returned healthy and in good condition.

Daff, sleep well tonight.

MrDaff Report 16 Feb 2010 22:01

Evening all... Jac, I am so sorry to hear your brother's diagnosis...... fingers crossed that all will be well, eventually.

Aw bless Peanuts..... they do seem to get around, cats, but as you say.. all's well...... why are some folk inconsiderate? That is the first thing I would do, is get a chip checked... daft woman, causing so much anst and heartbreak!

Mummo.... tell him he must take it slowly....!

Ann, yes, and have replied, lol.....

Short and sweet tonight... I am shattered, so off to bed!!

Night all

Evening All!

Just a quick one (as usual) Hope everyone is doing well - havent time to look back to check, but trusting that the feeling in my water is correct and you ARE all OK!!!

Do you remember my friend's cat that went missing when I was "looking after it" back in early December? well, can you believe this? the blooming feline has turned up today fit and healthy and clean as a new pin!!! Apparently some woman found it just before Christmas, and only today took it to a local vets and Peanut was identified by her chip and pin!!!

How on earth the cat managed to travel across two dual-carriage ways and 5 miles is beyond me, but it did and has now been returned to it's rightful owner (the daughter of said friend who was holidaying in NZ when puss went walk-about).

Happy end to the story, thank heavens and I now feel mightily relieved!

Be back when I can - have various problems and my brother has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is quite poorly at present - so........................back to the City Hospital yet again - it seems like I aint never away from the place!

Take care all.

Hi again.
Ann it is a lot easier for me now Eddie doesn't have to wear the brace but he does seem to be in quite a bit of pain, when he does walk around he makes me laugh as he says he walks like a 90 year old, he is still getting a lot of pain in his groin and hips but we will speak to physio when he sees them.Ed does make a cup of tea and has done a bit of washing up but tires really quickly now but as l told him he has been in bed for 3 months and needs to build his muscles back up.
Hope everyone else in feeling ok, take care, x

Daff have you received my e mail with scrap book photos?

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 16 Feb 2010 17:25

Oooh lazybones.

He says he has stopped doing them, they are not making so much money now and he was a bit put off by somebody who won one then didn't pay so he had to put in a complaint to get his money back to re-list it. still he did very well out of it. He did enjoy doing it though so he may get tempted again, it did keep him occupied. At the moment he is flying the airplane again and has just ordered more scenery.

Afternoon everyone....I am sooooo late today... I had a very bad night last night... those heavy duty painkillers do not send me to sleep, lolol.... I was wide a wake until almost 6, but happily so, content to just lie there and think lots of nice thoughts! So after R went to work... I went back to bed and didn't get up until almost mid day..... I am still tired, but comfortably so, and I should sleep tonight!

Mummo, a break away from it all does you the power of good... you'll feel much better for spoiling yourself a little bit.

I do hope you aren't expecting inspiration from this direction, Mau.... I am looking for a bit myself, as well, lol

BC, wmsl... so pleased you are enjoying yourself, lol... the han, erm, headache is worth it then, isn't it?

Ann, has T stopped doing the phones altogether, or just doesn't have them at the moment? St John's would be perfect for you... walking distance!

~~~~ to Maz.... I do hope you are going to put your feet up and have some *you* time this week...... now don't work so hard, you have enough to do at work... do as yer told, lolol!! ;¬))
I am now off to play around with Picasa and see if I can get a still from the video... wish me luck ;¬))
