Hi Daff, pleased that littly is better and almost back to normal. I* feel fine today, I was almost better yesterday so knew I would be. I went out walking, knowing that at any stage I could cut it short, there are loads of ways to do that on this particular walk and it was so nice. I don't feel as if I overdid it, other than my legs ache, but they would anyway after walking. No, mind over matter, hopefully I am better. Did you get my e mail with the 2 scrap book pages?

*raises eyes to *Him Upstairs* I say my prayers regularly, BC... OmG this, OmG that, lolol and a lot of Thank G that is over...........

Pleased your friend is safe, though.... your dragon will be relieved as well, bless her.

~~~~~ to Mamiddau.... and Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus ichi!!
Good luck with the sleep deprivation eeg..... and staying awake as well... will you and hubby take it in shifts to stay awake with her?
~~~ to Mau..... it has been so lovely today.... went for a walk around the park near the hospital, after the physio assessment, and it was just so mild...

Littlie had a whale of a time in there, waiting for me with daddy, and was so eager to show me the slide and the swings, and where the squirrels had been naughty with chewing off the branches of the pines.... she wants me to stick them into pots like I did with the rose cuttings yesterday, lolol I have promised her that we shall do them tomorrow... they are in a jug of water now ready for when she wakes up!

Mummo.... how did Ed's physio go? Mine had me worked out down to a T... I accused her of spying on me, lolol... it was just a verbal and written assessment... and she is referring me for a health gym prescription as well, which means 16 weeks at a gym with a specially trained trainer, and a programme designed around my specific problems, including my brick wall phases.... so I have to wait for that to come through, and should hear in about 4 to 6 weeks.

She says my main problem is pacing myself (very true) and wanting to do so much on a good day that I set myself too high a goal, and then become daunted and dispirited... and either do nothing or exhaust myself doing it all. I didn't tell her that... she just asked questions, and came up with that... spot on, lolol

Ann.... are you feeling a lot better today, then? I know that you enjoy walking.... but that seems quite a long way when you have been feeling so rough *frets* Now don't overdo it... hark at me... pots and kettle syndrome going on here, lol!

Littlie has fallen asleep on the way back... we got her coat off her without her waking up too much... she stirred long enough to stop us taking off her patent party shoes with the flashing heels, lol.... they had to stay on... bless her, she is so much brighter today. Drinking plenty, ate a good breakfast, but has only picked at stuff in between... still tomorrow she will be back to normal I suspect.

Well... must go and make a start on some dinner.... not sure what to do, but have some of the gammon I boiled on Saturday left, so it will be something with that added, I think.....pasta... Madam likes pasta.... mmmmm

Take care,

Loads of love

Well l'm back and my eye feels so much better now that the lens is out.
Daff have only stopped driving for 6 days, since l had the laser treatment.I had eye lens replacement on both eyes about 18 months ago and this is the last of the treament to get my eyes back to normal, lol.
Ed has his first physio this afternoon, hope it does him some good as he is very unsteady on his pins and still in a lot of pain in his back.
The weather here in Portsmouth is glorious, didn't even wear a coat today, mind you got dropped off at the station, straight onto the train then a free bus into Southampton so really didn't need a coat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you all enjoy the sun, x

It is absolutely beautiful out there. I have just been for a roughly 2 mile walk around the village and it really feels like spring. The birds think so too they are singing away and I saw a female blackbird collecting nesting material in the garden this morning. However, I read in the paper while drinking my coffee not to get excited as this is only going to last a couple of days before we return to wet and windy so do make the most of the sun while it is out.

MrDaff Report 1 Mar 2010 08:52

Good morning everyone....

A beautiful crisp sunny morning.... and it is St David's Day today.

Littlie slept for a couple of hours late yesterday... woke up all bright and sunny, and wanted to cwtch on the sofa with granny... so I am forgiven... we did some ice dance... well, she did... she was very very good, and fell over in all the right places, just like the celebrities, lol.... so I can breathe easy now... I am back in the good books again, lolol

She woke twice in the night, coughing... and is now fast asleep in bed with daddy and Peg and Polgara....

We had a bad night.... nothing to do with aches and pains, nor due to son awake through the night wandering around... no, it was cats this time.

There is a new kid on the block, a white bruiser of a cat with a too-tight flea collar on...ok with humans, but not so good with other cats... R says he has seen this one a few times, although I haven't, but it has spent most of the night on guard outside the catflap... Rosy beat the hell out of it, even though it is twice her size... Pol hissed and spat, and then went out and ignored it, Jethro went nose to nose, and was ignored, but he usually is by other cats, they seem not to see him as a threat... but poor Hermie and Peg were duffed over every time they poked their noses out... and Hermie got a double whammy cos Peg then takes it out on him... so we were disturbed by the spats going on outside our bedroom window, and the catflap going back and forth like a yo yo from 3am til 5:30 ish..... Grrrrr!.

I was going to phone in sick for my physio this morning.... but looked, and realise that it is at 3pm, and not 10am... so will go back to bed and get energised, lol... *sighs heavily* I was so looking forward to having an excuse to cancel.... Physio is such an effort, lol

BC, I do hope your friend is ok.... that must be very worrying for you and the dragon..... and your poor Bougainvillea and Santana... must look that one up... shame, as I lost one as well a couple of years ago... it died while I was having my treatment, that winter... my mum had bought it for me for my birthday that year, and when it died she promptly decided that it was now ok... the flower had died instead of me, and so I was going to be ok, lol..... she really hung on to that thought.

I shall buy another one this year, but I want it for the conservatory, not outside. I do hope your joints feel better soon, as the weather gets warmer... yours too, Maz, and anyone else with achey joints.

Mine are not too bad today... fingers still a little stiff, and right hip a bit bothersome, but the cortisone has started it's magic and I feel pretty good again... by lunchtime today's will have taken effect, so I shall be buzzing... and my assessment will be based on a best case scenario, and not like I was on Friday walking in to the surgery, lolol

Ann, R seems ok this morning.... and B hasn't shown any signs, and I think mine is just my usual... so fingers crossed we will all be fine, or we have had it before, lol so immune! S hasn't eaten much.... a couple of digestive biscuits yesterday evening, which she kept down... she nicked some grapes, and they came back, lol... but she has kept her drinks down now... she has had warm strawberry ribena, which she has sipped, and proper lemonade with sugar, not aspartame (which can cause the trots, lol... can be very effective as a laxative, you know ;¬)) which she has also had just little bits of, but fairly regularly, so I am happy with that, as long as she is drinking she'll be fine.

Mummo... good luck for today..... you won't know yourself being able to drive again..... how long have you been unable to?

BC, I tried google chrome as a beta thingy when they were developing it... I liked some bits and could see the potential, but didn't like other bits, and it played havoc with my old pc and laptop. I use Firefox at the moment, and have Vista not Windows 7.. would that make a difference? My old pc and laptop are XP.

Well... madam is up, wanting her breakfast, which is a good sign... and is patiently occupying herself with the heart punch I have and some paper scraps... that is what we used as a ladybird template yesterday, lol..... she seems very sunshiney, so fingers crossed she will have a good day today....

See you all later

Love

Morning Daff and all. Lovely bright morning here but like Maz, this weather plays havoc with my joints, we all need big blobs of sunshine in our lives! Good luck with the laser treatment Mummo and I do hope Littlie is feeling better today, nothing as heartbreaking as seeing a little un cry but Ann is right, they forget very fast!

Anyone here on Google Chrome? I find it is wonderful and just heard IE are sending out emails giving everyone more choice, it's worth having a look at,there is a lovely choice of colours and theme. I have stars at the mo:)

We have a lovely friend living in Santiago (adopted daughter of the dragon) and we cannot get in touch with her since the earthquake happened. Fingers crossed she and her family will be ok.

I haven´t been outside on the patio for a while as everything looks frozen solid and bedraggled. My poor Bougainvilea and the Santana look dead...tsk....

HURRY UP SPRING!!!!

Poor littly she will be feeling very miserable if she has been poorly and it sounds as if she has been generous with her bug if R now has it, hope he doesn't feel too ill with it. What about B, has he had it? Is S eating/drinking?

It is awful when they sob and you have caused it, T did that to our littly a couple of years ago when we were looking after her. She didn't harbour a grudge though so you will be OK.

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 28 Feb 2010 15:24

Afternoon all.... Ann, littlie has been quite poorly... she is better now, but still a little tetchy when she gets tired... I have just upset her, and she has sobbed in a way I haven't heard her sob before... and all whilst playing a *yes, no* game she absolutely loves, which we play loads of times, and usually has her in fits of giggles! So I feel like the wicked witch from Hell.... she is asleep now, so hopefully will feel better when she wakes... and I will be back in her good books again, lol

She was awake a lot last night... so we all had a restless night. Early night for everyone tonight, I think, lol.

It has been a nice day here, but cold and windy... Madam has had a little wander around the garden, all dressed up warmly, and we chopped down some of the deadwood.... lots of new growth everywhere, and the hellebores are really doing well... buds are about to burst forth!! We also made some seedcake... and put it out for the birds.

She has learned that baby flowers are called buds.... and that buds are baby flowers! That butterflies and ladybirds won't be awake just yet... so we have made some to put out on the shrubs ready.... if they get soggy, the way she is at the moment she will be distraught, so I have laminated a couple while she has been asleep.... first time I used the laminator.... and I have put those out there instead. Couldn't bear for her to sob like that again! It was heartbreaking, and to be the cause of it.... *groans aloud*

All the pieces are ready to make a card for mummy.... ladybirds seem to be the flavour today, her new socks all have ladybirds on them, and she is quite taken with them..

Mummo, they will soon settle down, and you will be pleased they have been done.... it is a bad tummy that we have had here... R has come down with it this morning, and I am a little bit dodgy... but then, that is not unusual for me, lol... and the steroids often have that effect on me for a day or two after I start them. I am supposed to be at Physio tomorrow morning, so will see how I am.

Maz, hope your hands are feeling better soon... mine aren't hurting, but are very stiff and fumbly, which is a nuisance... I have to really think about gripping something, otherwise it falls straight through my fingers... I have had a couple of mishaps today, already.

Ginnie, that sounds interesting.... I'll give that a try (rose cuttings).... it should work now, shouldn't it? Everything is just beginning to want to grow..... I think I shall go and do it when I have finished this post!

Off to cut up some roses, lol

Good morning all, Hope all OK with littly now Daff and nobody else suffering whatever she had.

Mummo, sorry your eye was so painful, hopefully it will prove to have been worth it though. Also sorry you had an upset stomach and hope it is not something catching, Ed can do without that.

Just been to the local garden centre (ex twigs Daff) for coffee and bought a few little plants to bring on in the conservatory for our baskets. We have a heater they can stand on so we thought we'd give it a try. OH still had a voucher from Christmas that we could use. Feel aggravated though as I realised when we got home that we were overcharged by £1.29, silly girl put something through twice. I am annoyed because I half suspected it but when we were loading the car it was very windy and cold and I couldn't be bothered to check. Lesson learned there.
