Good morning Daff and all.-) Very cold day here, just back from the park. But yesterday was lovely and I even cleared some of the dead stuff (a lot) from my patio. I can see many visits to the garden centre soon. Today on Google Chrome I have huge pink and red peony roses just to remind me! lol

Am off to do a little shopping, it´s my day off, and my lovely DIL is coming for the weekend so I had better get wine and chocolates in.

Hope you are all warm and cosy. BC XX

Mummo, at least it passed, labour costs plus VAT are so high now aren't they?

I think it is general practice in larger companies for the company medical officer to check up on people who are long term sick, shouldn't think there is anything to worry about.

Morning, well car passed its MOT ............but they let me know that the brake pads only had about a 1 month life left so with them doing that and the MOT waved goodbye to £219.00 .
Got to take Ed for his X ray this morning and picked up his stronger pain killers yesterday and he said he slept better last night as he wasn't in pain so that was good. Got his works doc coming tomorrow, not sure why ????
Ann your outing sounded really lovely, l can't wait for the warmer weather so Eddie and l can hopefully get out a bit more.
Well better do some h/work then go and have a shower.
Have a good day all, Daff hope littlin is fine this morning, take care all. x

Hi Ginnie, lovely to line dry washing after a long cold winter isn't it?
Jean from 1973 until 1981 we lived on the edge of the Forest of Dean, lovely area, not far from us now but we don't go there that much.

Good evening to everyone, hope you have all had a good day we have enjoyed a lovely day here and I have dried 2 lines of washing outside, lovely.

Daff, I was looking at a catalogue that had been sent me( one of many that come through the door) at child bedding and saw a Peppa Pig duvet set and a Peppa Pig bed and I immediately thought of you and Littlie lol,
my 2 are boys and older so are more into computer games etc although they do play with the toys and games in Nans cupboard when they are here and some of those have been around a long time lolol.

I did all my h/work this morning so I could do some cutting and gluing this afternoon and I had 2 visitors so didn't do any just sat drinking tea and chatting.

Sounds like you had a lovely day Ann isn't it nice when the sun shines?

Well, what a glorious day it has been again. We left home about 10AM and drove via some beautiful Cotswold villages and picturesque country lanes to Batsford near Moreton in the Marsh, about an hour from here, could do it a bit more quickly but we let Gladys our SatNav lady take us her way which is so pretty.

Batsford Arboretum had its spring coat on, it was beautiful, the sun shone on the buttery coloured stone of the old house and the snowdrops sparkled, masses of them, mixed with swathes of yellow aconites, then there were the occasional stunning Helebore and massed groups of pink and lilac crocuses. We had a coffee before we walked round and shared a scone. There were not many people there and it is big enough to believe you are the only people there so we had a great time taking lots of photos. (scrap book here I come!!)

Afterwards we drove 30 minutes up the road to Evesham Country park and garden centre where we had a senior citizens two course lunch £7.95 each for two courses. We had beef, mushroom and ale pie and veg then I had plum crumble and T had apple pie both with custard, lovely and plentiful.

After a quick look round the garden centre and buying a few bits, including a couple of tops reduced in the sale for me, then a look round the farm shop, we drove home, getting home at 4pm. Then even more excitement, they had delivered a large blue wheelie bin, so thoughtful, it matches our garage and front doors, and two small food bins one for indoors one to keep outside. Apparently we start using them in April so plenty of time to look at them before we 'go live'.

So pleased that little miss is full of beans again, she is obviously better Daff. Hope you are OK today as well.

Afternoon all... just a quick pop in.... I am entertaining a bright eyed and bushy tailed Littlie... *Look at me, Blanmee* has been the eternal cry all morning... she has been a delight, a treasure, and great fun... and daddy is still in bed missing it all!!

She is currently outside on her (Peppa Pig) scooter, but popping in and out to make me throw the ball for her to catch... it is still nice in the conservatory, even with the door wide open... and Jethro is playing with her as well....

*hark, I hear the sound of the kettle being put on* sounds like he is up at last... he will take her out for a long trip around Roath Park lake, and then on to Barry Island if there is time... I have the bread for the ducks, geese and swans all ready in a bag... and her scooter with the flashing lights is loaded into the car ready, lolol She is back to her normal sunny self, at last!!

See you all later..... when I have time to catch breath properly, lol

Love

Pleased you eventually surfaced anyway. And glad you liked them, I am doing a book of holiday memories so thatw as the start. Spent the afternoon scanning in photos from Vancouver, Canadian Rockies, Yellowstone Park, New Orleans, Nachez, Memphis, and Chatanooga so now have photos to do a few more pages.

MrDaff Report 1 Mar 2010 22:07

whoops. sorry... got sidetracked..... but yes, I eventually got to look at them... I have been having that same problem with opening photos... it seems to be every time I have a load of updates... and then when I save them into files, they zip them but tell me it's invalid... it's driving me nuts!

They are fabulous, Ann... I'd like to get a really good look at them *full page* so to speak... I love the way you have matched the colours, and the *feel* of the backing paper is just right.... as is the tearing, it complements the ruggedness... and the crocus are perfect... sort of soften it all.... I loved them.

Mummo.... it will be hard work, but worth it... I do hope there wasn't any break when he fell... I would be having the doctor by the short and c..... erm, yes, well..... it would be painful, I can tell you!! He refused to come out, basically, as I remember?

Well, I hope all is well after all, and nothing serious has been done... when will he have the xray?

Take care

oh..... and night night!! I am off to bed myself!

Love

Hiya Ann... no, haven't opened it yet... I was in Littlie's section this morning trying to adjust the screen resolution... and also got her an e-mail address so I could send her a picture of herself... she can click on that now to get into her own account on the pc, lolol She is thrilled to bits with her e-mail, lol... and has already sent daddy and me letters, lolol With help... but surprisingly little after the first practice one to me!!

And I can't seem to turn Ceebeebies into her home page, which is a nuisance... but she does get into it easily via bookmarks... she has excellent memory and mouse control too... she can't form her words properly, but there is nothing wrong with her cleverness, lolol

I'll pop and have a look now.... brb....

Love
