Morning Daff, yes they have said it is going to brighten up here, this afternoon. I hope so. I have started to Cuprinol my trellis arches around the patio, and want to carry on whilst I am in the mood, and before the Clematis put on too much growth. The down side is that trellis has a back and a front, and insides, and I sometimes think it is a 'Forth Road Bridge' job. Didn't get done last year because of my illness, so I want to persever, while I can.
I meant to tell you, I bought a hanging signe in the gatdrn centre the other day, which I have hung on my back door. It says "Old gardeners never die, they just SPADE away". Really made me laugh.
Have a good day, and give'm grief if you have to. LOLOL

Brrrrrr it is very cold here, too, Julia, but the forecast for here is brighter later. So fingers xxx'd

Don't care though.... the heating has just gone back on!! lolol

I have to go for a medical later.... so that the DWP can pay me...... zilch, zero, nothing!! lol I am hoping I will at least qualify for my NI stamp to be paid now. However, if they decide that I am fit enough to work, then I shall throw a wobbly, and not bother.... I get a letter from them once a month saying I am still not entitled to benefits.

The reason I have done it is so that my stamp is eventually paid, and also, I wouldn't be added to any statistics otherwise... I would be a non person. I wanted to be counted, leading up to an election. I am one of those who slip through loopholes, you see. I am good at that!!

The garden is looking a little better every day, as more and more plants wake up and start stretching in the sunshine. We could do with a spot of rain, actually.... we have needed to water all the pots the last couple of days.

BC your Jasmine is doing lovely, lolol I can see it from my desk, here. Taff presented me with beautiful lilies for my birthday, and they are also showing their heads... they are in a tub at the back, and Ann gave me a stunning patio rose for my birthday too... it flowererd right up until just before Christmas.... and it now has masses of new leaves, and I think there were a couple of tiny buds on it yesterday, too. That I have put so that I can see it every time I look out of the hall or kitchen windows... and Daffodils! I have tubs and tubs full of them, and the flowerbeds as well..... beautiful!

~~~~~~ to everyone... Maz, you are far too energetic!! However, I am inspired... I might get some wallpaper and paint for our bedroom when I am out today........ maybe, lolol!!
I am finding it difficult to balance garden/swearing/craftwork/sprucing and tarting the house up.... not enough stamina to do it all, and if I was a bit more organised I am sure I would do better! lol
Must go and start getting ready for this medical... not until 1.20, but it is awkward to park there, so I'll need to be there early, and I can't remember where I put the paperwork... thought it was on the fridge door, but it isn't.
*sighs* see what I mean about getting organised???
Have a lovely day, everyone.
Love
Daff xxxx
Aw Mummo..... it's because they employ people with degrees in Pluto or Tom Jones, who are still wet behind the ears and have no conception or perception.... that's how it should be at their age, but then, they shouldn't be in the sorts of jobs that the requested qualifications rule out people like me, lolol Now that is a job I could do!!
Morning all,
l'm not a happy bunny today :(((
Rehab let us know last week that a flat had come up ( rehab had to see it also to see if it was suitable) and was ours if we wanted it, was in Southsea looking over the sea., so l spoke to the lady from housing yesterday and couldn't believe what they had offered us.
Eddie needs to be able to get into the building with no steps...........this flat had 8 steps to get to the main door.
The flat was on the second floor..........yes it had a lift she said but it keeps breaking down.
No parking but can park on the road with residents permit so you don't have to pay.................went there yesterday at 3.00pm and no parking places what soever.
Bath only.............Ed needs a shower.
The council knows our needs thats why we are at the top of the list so why does a housing association offer us the complete opposite.
Rant over, lol.
Weather is dull here so not going out today.
Having my hair done tomorrow, its been driving me mad so will feel better tomorrow when it cut and not such a mess.
Well ladies hope you all have a good day. x
Good Morning Good Morning., and how are you today!!
Beautiful morning, R about to leave for work, I have just finished my breakfast, and then I am off out, on my own, lolol I might have lunch out, even.
I am going somewhere really exciting..... the timber yard! lolol I have ordered topsoil for next week, so now need to get the beds made up.... B says he will do them,,,, but his measuring was a bit hit and miss, lolol.... so not sure I am going to let him loose. But the timber will be cut to size for me, so no room for error. I have just re-measured to be absolutely certain.... and I can do collect that myself, as they will load the car for me, and B can unload it the other end... simples, lolol
Wmsl @ Susan and Mummo, lolol
Maz, do you want my washing as well, lolol!!
Off for my shower now, and then out to play... see you all later, Have a brilliant day!
Hopefully it is just time before the arm is comfortable. I don't suppose I help because I don't stop doing things, never was one for 'resting', still it doesn't feel quite so painful this morning. See what the day brings.
Susan, long may it last!!!!
My arm is painful which makes me fed up but I feel fine in myself, been out in the sun the past four days, didn't know I had it then. But I don't have a bad rash, don't think it will develop any more so hopefully it will be a short session.
Awww sorry to hear you have shingles Ann, and hope it is not too distressing. I had it years ago and the lovely doctor gave me daily injections of B12 and I felt on top of the world! Told me to avoid sunshine.
Just going to have some lunch now. Nice to see Daff is back with us:)) lol BC XX
No, because I have had since last Thursday, or that was when the burning pain started, it is too late to treat with aclivar so just have to let it run its course. Go back if it feels worse. At least I got him to take me off dispersable aspirin.
