hi there my only secret for cleaning ovens is biological soap powder in hot hot water and soak the shelves in .my late friend used BI-carb although I have never tried it, and really Daff has had more army ovens to clean than me she will be the expert .we used to dismantle them to clean the screws but really you cant beat elbowgrease really .i just spray it and do my best if it looks shiney it must be clean lol .
I was going to church but I have a dodgy tummy so am staying put .here

Morning Maz and Daff and all:) First of all if someone could tell me how to clean my oven without using those toxic chemicals! I am sure there is a little secret that all domestic goddesses know...lol...

Beauttiful day here, had a very happy day planting my patio yesterday and found some lovely white and red poppies in the market.amd ñpad pf geranium to replace the dead ones. Everything else seems to have taken a spurt in this nice weather!

Then, as I was aching so much, I decided to have a bath instead of a shower. And could I get out? Ages it took me. Then I remembered a short story I had written where she turns herself round in the bath and gets out that way..pmsl...ah the joy of ageing:))

Off to the park now and then have to go up west for a few things...the place will be thronged...yuk...

Hope you all have a lovely, sunny day.....

Actually Mau, the arm is not very painful now, just a few twinges at the end of the day. The couple of spots on my back are a bit sore but better today than they have been, just a general irritability which I assume is because of the virus.

Strange as since I have had it I have heard of two cases of chickenpox so it is the season for that, although I am well aware that that fact doesn't give a reason for the shingles. I thought you were prone when stressed but I wasn't, had just had a weeks holiday

Good morning, sorry you had a bad night Mummo, hope the sleep does you good, I felt like that all day yesterday and still feel a bit grumpy today so hope there are no contentious threads on here. I blame the shingles but it could just be me being a moody c**.
Just been round for the papers and visited the church boot sale on the way, bought two books to take away and a little pink 'sock (10p) for my mobile. Then went to the garden centre for coffee and bought a couple of herbs and T bought three tumbler plants that are better and further on than the ones he is growing which were late in because of Spain.

Now I have going to hack at a bush out in the front garden.

Morning Maz, and anyone else lookig in..... beautiful day here, and it would seem that it is going to stay like it over the next couple of days.... so lots to do in the garden!!

I have some strawberry seeds to plant up... and the tomato plants are now ready to be planted on, so I need to sort out the hanging baskets ready, as that is where they are going... I shall keep them in here though, until it is a bit warmer outside at night.

And I have the first of my bokashi compost ready to use....... how odd to be excited about fermented food, lolol ;¬))

I think I might go to bed myself, now, though!!

It's been a fabulous day here and would have been gardening if I didn't have 'the dizzies'..... but sitting out this afternoon I saw my Camellia has 3 red blooms! I was thrilled to skinny ribbons because it was a rememberance present given in 2006 and this is the very first time it's flowered. It's made my day! :O))
