That's four words, Mau:))) So true isnt it, and not making light of Daff's bad treatment at hands of hairdresser (giving a tip my a***!!), but it ruins your day if you get a bad haircut but in a few days you get used to it and learn to stick things in it and...er....am running out of consoling thoughts....lol...but well I know how you feel, Daff, all us wimmin have been there....
a bottle of fine red wine tonight, mebbe??

Just arrived on thread to see this Daff!! and I agree totally with Ann. Cancel next appointment and spread the word. Could save lots of other girls having bad hairdos and serve her right for gossiping,not a very good advert for the business.
Put some wax on your hair and go for the spikey look! :O)
My OH is like you and if he gets a cut it takes ages for blood to congeal (he takes Warfarin) did the girl know of your medical history? if so she should have taken more care,hope you've healed okay now.......anyway only a week between a good and bad haircut ( so my OH sometimes tells me lol )
~~~~to Ann and BC Mau XX
edit ooh ello....just three words to say to you BC...cluck,cluck,cluckety,cluck lol...make that four ;O)
*Pulls hat tightly on head*
Well.... am I a wimp or what... she has cut it too short, which means that when she thinned it out it decided to go back into loobrush mode.... it looks dreadful. She was hurting my neck with the comb, she kept yanking me back and my back is now so sore... and she nicked my ear because she was so busy yacking about her holiday weekend and how absolutely legless she got, to another customer!!
Fortunately, just to spite her, I bled like a stuck pig, and it took an absolute age to stop... I theatrically pointed out that as my platelets were still very low, it might be HOURS before I stopped bleeding (Half an hour!! But that was long enough!) So I had to walk to my car in a top... pale blue... all covered in blood, with a cut that I hate..... and I meekly paid up, took an appointment for 6 weeks time.... and gave her a flipping tip!!
Am I a wuzz, or what!
I was a bit shaken though, because although it wasn't pouring after the first 5 minutes, just a steady trickle... my ear is now bruised from where I was putting pressure to stop the bleeding.
So I have to find another way to treat myself, don't you reckon? Not enough pennies in the coffer to go on a spending spree this month, unfortunately...... :¬(( But I shall find a way!
Love
Morning all:))) Ha! I got there before you, Daff. Had my hair cut last night and kept him far away from the wine so it looks very nice! lol It's amazing how the same cut works out different every time but as I have known him for over 30 years I trust him totally.
Nice day here, not quite sure what to do with it but have several ideas in mind. I would happily adopt Gizmo (for the laughs) for your special day Maz, but he may not like my dog. Going to the park this morning, this cat shot up a tree when she saw us coming! My doggie is indifferent, even to the German Shepherd who lunged at her this morning.
Have a good day everyone:) BC XX
Aw Maz.... he can help you get dressed.... Jethro does... I am off up for a shower now, and he will come into the bathroom with me and play with the bubbles as I get ready... my others dive for cover... Pol is a bit more sociable, but is an old lady and doesn't help like she used to... Jethro is her successor, lol
Well, the sun is shining.... it looks as though it is quite still out there.... and I have a hair appointment at 12, so must toddle off.... I shall see you all when I am looking more glamorous, lolol!!
Afternoon all from a cloudy and no sun Puerto de la Cruz. It was quite warm this morning even though it was cloudy but is feeling cooler now. And daughter is in Crete where it is hot and sunny apparently.
Good morning... ~~~~~~~~~ to Ann and T, hope the sun shines today... it is shining here, but is windy! *sighs* at the thought of tapas, and walm balmy weather............
Huia, I have laughed my socks off.... just thinking about it makes me howl, lolol..... many of our door knockers are at postbox height.... sort of hip level... so manageable by a clever cat... but like you my image is of a black and white Felix double bouncing down the street leaping at door knockers, lolol!!
That's the problem, Maz, keeping on top of it all..... mine seems to untidy itself in seconds!
BC, I didn't overdo it yesterday, I promise... I oversaw R overdo it, lolol... and I took a long nap, about 3 hours.... and slept well last night.... makes up for being up most of Sunday night.
I got up thinking I really couldn't be fussed getting ready to go and have my hair cut, so rummaged around looking for the little card so I could phone and cancel.... and it is tomorrow! What a relief. I do hope she is in a better mood than last time... the first time she cut my hair I was really pleased with it, but last time she was very hung over, told me all her woes, and was more interested in looking at herself in the mirror than at my hair... so if she messes up tomorrow... I shall have to start running around and find someone else again..... there was one, she was brilliant.... but I can't remember where she was! Plus I didn't turn up for the appointment I'd made so feel guilty... I was having the first lot of chemo at the time, lol!
Off to wander around the boards....... have a lovely day everyone.
Love
Daff xxxx
Maz, how low down is the door knocker? We dont have all that many in New Zealand but I think all the ones I have seen are about eye height. I am picturing Gizmo taking a flying leap to get high enough to use the knocker!
Huia.
Hi all from a warm but cloudy Tenerife. Fiesta today which we watched, the parade of the cross, very impressive if a little heartstopping when they let off the large thunder flashes and fire crackers. We were sitting eating tapas at the time (there goes the diet). had a good journey over, no delays and arrived on time. Nice meal and drinks laid on when we arrived by our lovely hosts. Nice to be here again and no doubt the sun will return at some stage, at least it is warmer than home.
Afternoon Daff and all and was having a chuckle at Gizmo's antics in the compost....lol...
Have just returned from the Dragon, she is spending a fortune trying to find a specialist who will find something wrong with her but no luck! lol Have sent off for some sandals, Daff, but will have to face a bunion op later this year ..tsk tsk..have been putting that off for years.
It was raining almost non stop yesterday and today it is very very cold so havent even gone out to patio to pick up dead slugs! I hope you are not overdoing it in the garden, Daff ...*glares....
Catch you later:)) BC XX
Good morning all..... I am well, really well, in fact... all the aches and pains have reduced to little niggles, all of which I can happily ignore and get on with *stuff*.
So... R did the basic household things yesterday morning, while I potted on some of the tomatoes... we lost a cordyline over the winter, and it was in a beautiful tallish black glossy tub, so I have dug that out and put some of the tumbling toms into it. I cut the Forsythia back... it was just shoved in there when we were having the side and the magic circle done... it was originally in the front. It is quite lop sided, lolol... but we like where it is, so we need to straighten it up. Anyway, I lopped the top couple of inches off.... and realised I had about 20 potential softwood cuttings..... so they are all now safely in pots.... nothing ventured, nothing gained. I then had a good look around...
the Fatsia we thought we had lost, has quite a lot of new growth, so I have cut that back and taken all the dead leaves off... then moved a couple of plants that didn't do too well in their spot last year, plus put some new ones in... your jasmine has been joined by a beautiful white and purple clematis, BC... when they meet in the middle and join up the dots they should look wonderful!
Ann, I have taken a couple of rootings of your dad's sedum..... they are doing really well, I checked them yesterday.
We now need to dig up a Hydrangea, and put it in it's new home, and then we have one more clematis to go in. Two of the beds have really shot up with weeds... they were almost full of French Lavender, so that will all be dug up today... and I have pots of various plants to replace them. Busy day ahead today, lolol... son will be back later, to give a hand with the heavy stuff.
Mummo, have a lovely time at the Range.... I love it there, lol
Maz, wmsl @ Gizmo.... he is one clever little kitty, lolol
BC, I am sort of resting... I am doing work I like doing, so it doesn't feel too hard, lolol... now if it was cleaning windows or something, then I would be resting.... and whingeing for Britain, lolol.
Jean, that is such a shame... and so mindless!!
Ann I do hope you have got off on your holiday ok...... *waves little hankie forlornly at overflying planes, just in case Ann and T are on one of them*
~~~~~~~ to Julia,,,,,,
Well, I am off to play at being a gardener....... it was quite windy last night and some of the pots have blown over... I didn't get up until gone 10am, so am a bit behind today... I was awake for a couple of hours in the night, but spent it comfortably reviewing all the plants etc, and planning the weekend's work... very efficient use of time, I thought... shame I can't remember half of it, lolol!!
Have a lovely day, everyone
Love
Daff xxxxx still giggling at Gizmo, lolol!!
